Position Summary
START Wellness Inc. is seeking a Licensed Clinician to serve as Team Leader for our Intensive In-Home (IIH) program serving children and adolescents with serious emotional and behavioral needs. IIH is a team-based, community-delivered, 24/7/365 service designed to prevent out-of-home placement and stabilize youth within their homes and communities.
The Team Leader provides clinical leadership, therapy services, supervision, and oversight of IIH team interventions in accordance with NC Medicaid Clinical Coverage Policy 8A.
Required Clinical Duties
Provide individual and family therapy to IIH beneficiaries
Lead and oversee clinical assessments and reassessments
Provide clinical supervision and guidance to IIH team staff
Ensure individualized supervision plans for all non-licensed team members
Lead Person-Centered Planning and service implementation
Participate in crisis response planning and team availability model
Maintain compliance with IIH team ratio requirements
Ensure all documentation meets Medicaid and audit standards
Coordinate with Child & Family Teams and community partners
Monitor medical necessity and service effectiveness
Minimum Qualifications
Must meet NC definition of Licensed Professional, such as:
LCSW / LCSW-A
LCMHC / LCMHC-A
LMFT / LMFT-A
Licensed Psychologist
Other NC recognized independent clinical license
Associate Licensed Clinicians may qualify if:
Actively working toward full licensure
Become fully licensed within 30 months of hire
Experience Required
Minimum 1 year documented experience with child/adolescent behavioral health populations
Required Training (Per IIH Policy)
Must complete:
Within 30 Days
IIH service definition training
Crisis response training
Person-Centered Planning elements
Within 90 Days
24 hours modality training (CBT, Family Therapy, Trauma-Focused)
Clinical supervision model training (minimum 12 hours if not modality-specific)
Additional Requirements
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Ability to provide community-based services
Background check clearance
Medicaid documentation competency
