Stars Therapy Services provides high-quality Early Intervention, Speech, Occupational Therapy, and developmental assessment services for children under age 3. We are committed to supporting families with compassion, cultural sensitivity, and professionalism while helping young children with developmental delays access the services they need as early as possible.
Job Overview
The Client Support Specialist (CSS) plays a key role in the daily operations of Stars Assessment Center by ensuring families are contacted, supported, and scheduled quickly and accurately. This is a fast-paced, phone-based role that requires excellent organization, follow-through, communication skills, and the ability to manage a high volume of scheduling needs.
The CSS is often the first point of contact for families seeking developmental assessments. This person is responsible for creating a warm and professional first experience, gathering accurate information, coordinating appointment availability, confirming assessments, and helping keep the assessment calendar consistently full. A successful CSS is a strong scheduler first: someone who can stay organized, manage multiple calls and referrals, prevent gaps in the schedule and follow up consistently.
In addition to scheduling families, the CSS also helps maintain positive communication with referral sources such as regional center liaisons, pediatricians, social workers, care coordinators, and family resource centers. This may include follow-up calls, referral tracking, and supporting outreach routines in partnership with the Director of Community Outreach.
This is an in-person position within the Call Center department and requires close collaboration with colleagues to ensure families receive timely, compassionate, and efficient support.
The ideal candidate is organized, confident on the phone, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing a busy calendar. They should be able to balance warmth with urgency, communicate clearly with families and referral partners, and take ownership of scheduling outcomes.
This role is best suited for someone who enjoys helping families, thrives in a structured and fast-moving environment, and understands the importance of timely access to developmental assessments for children under age 3.
Join Stars Therapy Services and help families take the first step toward meaningful support for their child. If you are a dependable, organized, and motivated scheduler who enjoys working with people and making a difference, we would love to hear from you.
