As the Master Scheduler, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and executing the master production schedule to ensure alignment with customer demand, production capacity, and inventory objectives. This role plays a critical part in supporting on-time delivery, optimizing resource utilization, and ensuring compliance with aerospace quality and regulatory requirements.
What you'll do:
Develop and manage the Master Production Schedule (MPS) based on customer orders, forecasts, and inventory targetsCollaborate with production, engineering, supply chain, and quality teams to ensure schedule feasibility and executionAnalyze capacity constraints and adjust schedules to optimize throughput and minimize delaysMonitor production performance and proactively resolve scheduling conflicts or disruptionsEnsure alignment with Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) processesMaintain accurate data within ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar)Coordinate material availability with procurement and supply chain teamsTrack and report key metrics such as on-time delivery, schedule adherence, and inventory levelsLead weekly scheduling meetings and communicate priorities across departmentsSupport continuous improvement initiatives related to planning, scheduling, and inventory managementEnsure compliance with aerospace standards and regulations (e.g., AS9100, FAA requirements)
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations Management, Business, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)5+ years of experience in production planning or scheduling within a manufacturing environment
Desired Skills:
Aerospace or highly regulated industry experience preferredStrong understanding of MRP/MPS systems and production planning principlesExperience with ERP systemsKnowledge of capacity planning, demand forecasting, and inventory controlAbility to analyze complex data and make data-driven decisionsStrong problem-solving and organizational skillsExcellent communication and cross-functional collaboration abilitiesHigh attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
