Standard Forged is currently searching for a Maintenance Planner. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and managing detailed maintenance plans that ensure optimal equipment reliability and uptime. You will work closely with the maintenance team, operations, and engineering to coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance activities while minimizing production disruptions.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain detailed preventive and corrective maintenance plans using the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).Plan and schedule maintenance work orders, including manpower, materials, tools, and equipment required to complete the tasks.Collaborate with maintenance supervisors and technicians to verify job scope, priority, and timing.Coordinate with operations and other departments to ensure planned work aligns with production schedules.Analyze equipment history and performance data to identify trends, forecast future maintenance needs, and improve reliability.Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, labor hours, parts usage, and equipment downtime.Monitor backlog of work orders and ensure timely completion and closure.Assist in developing job plans, standard work instructions, and maintenance procedures.Support procurement of necessary parts, tools, and materials in collaboration with the purchasing team.Generate regular reports on maintenance performance, planning efficiency, and key reliability metrics.Ensure compliance with all safety, regulatory, and company policies.Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required; associate degree or technical training in maintenance, engineering, or related field preferred.2–4 years of experience in maintenance planning, scheduling, or reliability engineering.Proficiency in CMMS software (e.g., SAP, Maximo, MP2) is strongly preferred.Solid understanding of mechanical, electrical, and facilities maintenance processes and terminology.Skills and Competencies:
Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for coordinating across departments.High attention to detail with solid analytical and problem-solving abilities.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook); ability to create detailed reports and schedules.Knowledge of lean maintenance and reliability-centered maintenance principles is a plus.Safety Activities:
