Plant Loader – Job Description Location: Center St, Jacksonville, NC 28546Pay Rate: $20/hrSchedule: Full-time (hours based on plant needs) Position Overview The Plant Loader supports daily production and material-handling operations by safely loading, unloading, and transporting materials throughout the facility. This role ensures equipment is operated correctly, materials are staged accurately, and production flow remains uninterrupted. The Plant Loader must follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work environment. Key Responsibilities Operate loaders, forklifts, and other material-handling equipment to move raw materials and finished products. Load and unload trucks, trailers, and plant equipment safely and efficiently. Stage materials for production according to supervisor instructions. Inspect equipment before use and report any mechanical issues. Maintain accurate counts of materials being moved or loaded. Keep loading areas clean, organized, and free of hazards. Assist with general labor tasks as needed, including sweeping, shoveling, or material cleanup. Follow all plant safety rules, PPE requirements, and operational procedures. Communicate with supervisors, drivers, and production teams to ensure smooth workflow. Qualifications Previous experience operating loaders or heavy equipment preferred. Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in outdoor or industrial environments. Basic understanding of material-handling safety practices. Reliable attendance and ability to work overtime when required. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Work Environment Industrial plant setting with exposure to dust, noise, weather, and heavy machinery.
