The Material Handler store and issue materials as needed for efficient product production. The individual in this role is detail oriented to ensure products are shipped and received according to bill of lading and packing slips. This position collaborates with management and manufacturing personnel ensuring excellent products to the customer.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The following statements reflect the general details necessary to describe the major functions of this position and are not intended to be a detailed description of all the work/functions that may be required. Other duties may be assigned.Examine shipment contents within 24 hours of receipt and compare them with records, such as manifests, invoices, or orders, to verify accuracy. Record shipment data with 98% accuracy (such as weight, charges, space availability, damages, or discrepancies) for reporting, accounting, and recordkeeping purposes. Pack, seal, label, or affix postage to prepare materials for shipping, using hand tools, power tools, or postage meter. Ensure 98% accuracy. Deliver or route materials to departments using hand trucks, forklift or sorting bins while ensuring all safety standards are met 100%. Requisition and store shipping materials and supplies to maintain weekly inventory of stock. Verify inventory computations by comparing them to physical counts of stock weekly and investigate discrepancies or adjust errors. Determine a plan of action to prevent discrepancies and determine necessary training to prevent future errors. Keep record of and dispose of damaged or defective items or return them to vendors within 48 hours. Daily clean and maintain supplies, tools, equipment, and storage areas to ensure compliance with safety regulations. Immediately report any safety concerns. Daily prepare and maintain records and reports of inventories, price lists, shortages, shipments, expenditures, and goods used or issued. Conduct daily forklift and hand tool maintenance checks. Request maintenance and retraining as needed to ensure safe driving and operation of forklifts. Safely and efficiently create a work environment that enables an efficient flow of materials and products into and out of the facility. Responsible for performing all work tasks in a safe manner and in accordance with organizational safety policies and requesting maintenance as needed.Required to be a team player and collaborate with various departments to meet customer satisfaction.

Do not mix parts or bags from skid to skid even when they look to be identical. • If you see product on the floor do not touch it and inform your operator. • If you drop product on the floor, verify with you operator on how to proceed. • Never touch controls on the grinder unless told to do so by your operator. • No hoodies allowed, strings/cords potential safety risk. • No cell phones during work. • Gloves will be provided depending on job.
