\nCT Technologist\nJOB SUMMARY:\n\nUnder the direction of the Radiology Medical Director, the CT technologist:\n\n\n\tPerforms computed tomography procedures and related techniques, producing sectional & 3-dimensional images at the request of and for interpretation by a licensed independent practitioner.\n\tEnsures services are performed in a safe environment in accordance with established guidelines and regulatory requirements.\n\tServes as part of the imaging center team and seeks as well as provides feedback for improved clinical practice.\n\n\nSKILLS/ABILITIES:\n\n\n\tSkill in operation of CT equipment as well as applicable ancillary equipment.\n\tAbility to work independently and multitask.\n\tAbility to provide documentation accurately and concisely.\n\tDemonstrates understanding of human cross-sectional anatomy, physiology, pathology, radiopharmacology, and medical terminology.\n\tKnowledge of computer applications, including information and billing systems, keyboard input, digital archiving, and retrieving of data.\n\n\nMINIMUM REQUIREMENTS\n\nEducation:\n\n\n\tMust have a minimum Associates Degree in Radiology or be a graduate of an accredited two-year radiology program.\n\n\nExperience:\n\n\n\tUp to 1 year experience as a CT Technologist\n\n\nLicense/Certification Requirements:\n\nMust be certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) in Radiography and maintain current valid registration from ARRT.
