Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and respectful Grounds Crew Worker / Landscaper to help maintain the beauty, safety, and dignity of our cemetery grounds. This role is responsible for landscaping, lawn care, and general upkeep to ensure a peaceful, well-kept environment for visitors and families.
Key Responsibilities
Perform routine lawn maintenance, including mowing, trimming, edging, and fertilizingPlant, prune, and care for trees, shrubs, flowers, and other vegetationMaintain cemetery plots, headstones, and memorial areas with care and precisionOperate and maintain landscaping equipment such as mowers, trimmers, blowers, and hand toolsAssist with grave preparation and restoration (e.g., sod placement, leveling soil)Remove debris, leaves, and litter from grounds and walkwaysMaintain irrigation systems and assist with seasonal tasks like snow removal or leaf cleanupFollow safety procedures and respect all cemetery regulations and protocolsInteract courteously with visitors, maintaining a quiet and professional demeanor at all timesQualifications
High school diploma or equivalent preferredPrevious landscaping, groundskeeping, or outdoor labor experience is a plusAbility to operate landscaping tools and equipment safelyPhysically able to perform manual labor in various weather conditions (lifting, bending, standing for extended periods)Strong attention to detail and respect for sensitive environmentsDependable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a teamWork Environment
