The Application Support and Database Management Specialist is responsible for providing technical support, administration, and ongoing maintenance for business-critical applications and databases. This role ensures the reliability, performance, and security of systems used across the organization, with a strong focus on transportation and logistics software platforms. The technician will support end users, manage system configurations, troubleshoot issues, and collaborate with internal teams and vendors to optimize application functionality.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide day-to-day technical support for transportation logistics applications, including Trimble TMW and TMT, ISAAC Telematics, Lucrasoft Depot, and Microsoft 365.Serve as the primary contact for application-related issues, incidents, and service requests, responding to support requests in a timely, professional, and customer-focused manner.Support reporting needs by assisting with data queries, extracts, and basic analysis as required using tools such as SSRS and Power BI.Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve application errors, performance issues, and data inconsistencies.Monitor, maintain, and support application databases to ensure data integrity, availability, and performance.Coordinate with software vendors and third-party support teams to resolve complex issues.Maintain application documentation, procedures, and user guides.Perform routine maintenance tasks, including backups, restores, and data validation.Proactively identify opportunities to improve application performance, usability, and reliability.Assist with testing and implementation of new systems, modules, and enhancements.Other technical duties as assigned.
