Paraprofessional (PP) or Associate Professional (AP) or higher degree level provider who meet at least the requirements for Paraprofessional status according to 10 NCAC 14V may deliver SAIOP or SACOT, under the supervision of a CCS or LCAS.Minimum Qualifications Required:
Graduate from high school or possess GED certificate (associate degree or higher preferred)
At least 2 years of experience in providing Substance Abuse services to Adolescents and Adults
Competency with individual, group, and family therapy
Valid NC Driver’s License
DUTIES/REPONSIBILITIES:
Provide psycho-educational, relapse prevention, behavioral intervention, skills training and emotional support to consumers with substance abuse disorders.
Meeting with clients to evaluate their health and substance problemTeaching clients coping mechanismsHelping clients find jobs or reestablish their careerFacilitating group therapy sessionsProviding updates and progress reports to clinicians, group leader and other treatment team memberReferring clients to support groupsContributes in the development of treatment plans/PCPTeaches independent living skills and provides encouragement and advice on methods for maintaining sobriety and recovery.Develops community support; manages at-risk behavior and performs crisis intervention.Ensure quality service and documentation.Ensure that services provided are clinically sound and documented appropriately and in a timely mannerDocumentation includes but not limited to PCP, service notes, NC-TOPPS, Crises’ Incidents, and Discharges etc. Ensure that these documents are updated routinely.Other Requirements:
· At least 2 years of experience, High School Diploma or Associates Degree
