    WAGE/HOUR STATUS: Exempt

    PAY GRADE: CA 1

    ACE STIPEND: $12,000 Annual ACE Leadership Stipend (in accordance with the District ACE Compensation Plan)

    PRIMARY PURPOSE

    The Assistant Principal - Accelerating Campus Excellence (ACE) Middle School supports the campus principal in implementing the Accelerating Campus Excellence (ACE) turnaround model and ensuring strong instructional leadership, effective school operations, and systems that accelerate student achievement.

    The ACE Assistant Principal assists in strengthening instructional practices, supporting teacher development, monitoring student performance data, and implementing systems of accountability designed to improve academic outcomes. The Assistant Principal works collaboratively with the campus principal and instructional leadership team to support rigorous instruction, effective teacher coaching, and data-driven decision making that results in measurable improvements in student performance.

    The Assistant Principal must act with integrity, support organizational goals, demonstrate the ability to inspire and support staff, utilize feedback to improve performance, drive results, and champion the needs of students, employees, and the district.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    Required
    Master's degree from an accredited college or university Valid Texas Assistant Principal or other appropriate administrative certification Minimum of two (2) years of successful classroom teaching experience
    Preferred
    Three (3) years of successful experience as a campus administrator Five (5) years of classroom teaching experience Experience supporting instructional coaching and teacher development Experience working in high-needs or turnaround campuses Experience analyzing student achievement data to support instructional improvement Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred in some settings

    MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

    Instructional Management
    Support implementation of the Accelerating Campus Excellence (ACE) instructional model. Participate in the development and evaluation of educational programs aligned with campus improvement goals. Monitor classroom instruction and support teachers in implementing rigorous, standards-aligned instructional practices. Encourage and support innovative instructional programs and research-based strategies that improve student outcomes. Promote the effective use of technology in the teaching and learning process. Assist the principal in implementing systems that support continuous instructional improvement. Monitor student achievement data and support intervention strategies designed to accelerate student growth.
    School / Organizational Climate
    Promote a positive, caring climate for learning. Communicate effectively with students, staff, parents, and community stakeholders. Support a school culture that reflects high expectations for student achievement and staff performance. Assist in building collaborative teams focused on improving instructional outcomes.
    Personnel Management
    Observe employee performance, record observations, and conduct evaluation conferences as assigned. Serve as second appraiser in the teacher appraisal system as designated. Assist the principal in interviewing, selecting, and orienting new staff members. Support the professional growth and development of teachers through coaching and feedback. Assist in coordinating campus professional development aligned with instructional priorities. Support campus Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) that strengthen instructional capacity.
    Administration and Fiscal / Facilities Management
    Supervise campus operations in the absence of the principal. Assist in planning daily school activities including class schedules, teacher assignments, and extracurricular activity schedules. Supervise reporting and monitoring of student attendance and collaborate with attendance personnel on follow-up investigations. Requisition supplies, textbooks, and equipment; maintain inventory and verify receipts for materials. Assist with safety inspections and safety drill activities. Ensure compliance with federal and state laws, State Board of Education rules, and district policies.
    Student Management
    Ensure that students are adequately supervised during non-instructional periods. Assist in developing and implementing a student discipline management system that promotes positive student behavior. Ensure school rules are applied consistently and that student discipline practices are fair and equitable. Conduct conferences with parents, students, and teachers regarding student issues and school concerns. Support systems that promote student attendance, engagement, and academic success.
    Professional Growth and Development
    Participate in all required professional development and training, which may occur within or outside the regular instructional day or employee work calendar. Participate in professional development activities to improve skills related to job responsibilities. Participate in instructional leadership meetings, data analysis sessions, and campus improvement planning. Support campus professional learning and collaborative instructional planning.
    Supervisory Responsibilities

    Share supervisory responsibility for professional staff with the campus principal. Supervise teachers, custodians, paraprofessionals, clerical personnel, and other staff as assigned.

    Other Duties

    Perform all other duties as assigned by the principal in support of campus and district goals.

    WORKING CONDITIONS

    PRIMARY PURPOSE:

    The Multi-Classroom Leader (MCL) is a teacher who teaches students and leads a small team of teachers, paraprofessionals, and/or teacher residents in the same grade or subject to meet the MCL's standards of excellence to reach the MCL's standards of excellence. The MCL serves as an instructional leader and coach, co-plans, co-teaches, models, and gives feedback. The MCL leads PLCs, organizes the team to analyze student learning data, and changes instruction to ensure high-growth learning for every child. The MCL collaborates with the team, using the team's ideas and innovations that the MCL agrees may improve learning. The MCL is fully accountable for the learning and development of all students taught by the team members. The MCL works collaboratively with the campus administration, campus instructional leadership team, and district leaders to meet the needs of the campus.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    Required:

Maintain appropriate data collection, every grading period and following grade-level grading expectations. Uses a variety of data collection tools to assess student skills and progress in the general curriculum Maintain complete and accurate paperwork needed for compliance purposes in the campus student folder. Maintain complete and accurate documentation of services provided to students including time, student name and description of services provided to student as they related to implementation of student's IEP Maintain lesson plans, or data collection forms indicating objectives addressed, activities planned, and attendance. Prepare and incorporate lesson plan materials and materials needed for student IEP goals and objectives. Maintains professional competence by participating in staff development activities, curriculum development meetings, staff support activities and other professional opportunities Serves as the students' Case Manager including responsibility for: Coordinates and documents the Admission, Review and Dismissal/Individual Educational Plan Committee for each student. Ensures that students have appropriately written Standards Based Individualized Education Programs (SBIEP) Ensures that the IEP is being implemented, with fidelity in all school settings Evaluates and monitors individual student progress based on academic and behavioral data collection. Participates in placement decisions based on educational, social and behavioral data presented to the committee. Maintains documentation of implementation of services in accordance with the students' Individual Educational Plans. Ensures the distribution of appropriate paperwork (including accommodations and deliberations) to all assigned teachers (both general and special education). Provide ongoing supports and training for the ECSE paraprofessional Collaborate as needed with campus personnel and Related Services to provide the most appropriate services for students with suspected or confirmed communication disabilities. Routinely and professionally provide information to parents about services that are available through Medicaid, State of Texas and other community organizations. Performs all other duties as assigned.

    PRIMARY PURPOSE:

    The primary purpose of the ESL Aide is to assist in the supervision and instruction of ESL students.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    Required:
