    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
    Schedules, assigns, and supervises vehicle maintenance to meet SporTran route schedule requirements during assigned work hours. Directs shop employees in electrical, electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic maintenance and repair of vehicle fleet and equipment.Assists workers in diagnosing malfunctions in machinery and equipment.Adjust mechanics and other shop employees work schedules to provide needed man-hours for each shift.Schedules, monitors and insures all job assignments are completed within a reasonable time frame or within industry standards. Monitors repairs and parts usage in an effort to control cost. Maintains adequate supply of tools by reviewing shop needs and repairing or replacing tools as needed.Interprets company policies and union contract to workers and enforces safety regulations.Coordinates road call problems to minimize bus schedule delays.Perform random inspections of completed repair and maintenance work and assess quality and completeness of the work performed. Coordinates and schedules regular preventative maintenance on company fleet.Supervisors and monitors bus cleaning and washing program to enhance image of fleetSupervises and monitors housekeeping program to insure that hazardous working conditions are minimized and work area is clean. Performs other duties assigned or required by management.

    Maintains time and production recordsSuggest changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of shop, or shop employeesAnalyzes and resolves work problems, or assists workers in solving work problems.Initiates or suggests plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals.

    High School Diploma or its equivalentMUST have valid Driver's License and ability to obtain a CDL Class A or B with Passenger Endorsement within 120 days of hireMUST be able to walk, kneel, bend, push and/or pull to complete moderate to heavy lifting when necessary to perform the essential functions of the position.Minimum of 1 year supervisory experience in diesel shop environmentMinimum 5 years recent paid bus or truck experience, diesel engine repair and maintenanceAbility to work varying shifts, to include nights, weekends, and holidaysProficient experience and application in MS Office Suite programs, Internet and Email

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


    All new mechanics are hired directly into a Class C Mechanic position. A Class C mechanic shall with minimum supervision satisfactorily and safely perform inspections and simple repairs to company transit fleet and/or equipment as assigned by a supervisor.

    Perform preventative maintenance inspections of company transit fleet to include routine servicing such as oil and filter changes and lubrication.Ability to accurately diagnose and repair applicable engines, transmissions, drive-line, rear-ends, steering and air brake systems, suspension, electrical, lighting systems and wheelchair lifts.Perform repairs on heating, ventilating and air conditioning systems with supervision.Perform comprehensive preventative maintenance procedures and maintain records and logs on company transit vehicle and other vehicles.Required to work and/or assist with road calls and pulls off as needed.Ensure all required duty checklists are completed and accurate in compliance with company policyPerforms other related duties as assigned by SupervisorMaintain compliance with all company policies and proceduresSKILLS AND ABILITIES


    Skilled in the repair and replacement of broken, defective parts on diesel powered drive trains.Ability to lubricate and clean vehicle parts when necessary.Ability to replace and adjust headlights, and install and repair automotive accessories such as mirrors and windshield wipers.Ability to properly identify and use standard mechanical tools and equipment.Ability to properly use and identify both gas and electrical welding equipment.Ability to safely operate a hydraulic lift, forklift, and other machinery required to complete needed mechanical repair work and maintenance.Ability to competently read and interpret vehicle and equipment service manuals.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
    Responsible for the cleanliness and maintenance of the listed areas as assigned by management: Bus Terminal, Maintenance Shop, Building A, Bus and/or Van Cleaner.

    Bus Terminal Cleaners responsible for cleanliness of Lobby, Driver Room, Office Areas and Outside of Terminal.

    Daily duties include, but are not limited to sweeping and mopping floor, trash disposal, glass window and door cleaning, light fixture cleaning and changing light bulbs and restroom cleanliness. All office furniture, window coverings and small appliances must be cleaned and wiped down daily. Exterior terminal cleaning must include sweeping and power-washing walkway and driveway. Power-washing must be complete twice weekly as designated by supervisor. All Terminal Bay areas must be checked and cleaned and free of floor dryer daily.Responsible for Bus cleaning at terminal as needed or requested by supervisor or leader on duty.Maintenance Shop Cleaners responsible for cleanliness of all Office and Shop Areas (Parts Room, Stairwells, Solvent Tank Area, Brake Room, Tire Shop and Storage and Shop Pit).

    Daily duties include, but are not limited to sweeping, mopping and waxing floors, trash disposal, glass window and door cleaning, and wall and door cleaning. All office furniture, window/light coverings, and small appliances must be cleaned and wiped down daily. Light bulbs should be replaced as needed. Shop carts and Oil filter and coolant collection containers must be emptied daily and stored in designated area.Responsible for fueling transit fleet and checking and replacing motor vehicle fluid levels as needed or requested.Responsible for completing pull offs for road calls as delegated by supervisor or leader on duty.Office Cleaners responsible for all Lobby Areas, Office Areas and Driver Room.

    Daily duties include, but are not limited to sweeping, mopping, vacuuming and steam cleaning floors, trash disposal, restroom cleanliness glass window and door cleaning and wall and door cleaning. All office furniture, window coverings, light fixtures and small appliances in driver areas must be cleaned and wiped down daily. Copy Room shredder waste should be checked and emptied daily. Restrooms supplies should be fully stocked daily.Responsible for creating timely work order requests for light fixtures needing replacement to supervisor.Responsible for completing pull offs for road calls as delegated by supervisor or leader on duty.Bus and Van Cleaners responsible for cleanliness and detail of interior and exterior areas of company buses and vans.

    Duties include, but are not limited to sweeping and mopping floors, trash disposal, dashboard cleaning, emptying all ash collectors, cleaning driver's area behind and under seat, seat cleaning, interior and exterior window cleaning and interior and exterior door cleaning. All hand rails, wall surfaces, window ledges, strap hold down tracks, and air condition vent coverings should be cleaned and wiped down daily. Exterior of buses and vans must be carefully washed and detailed to include tire detail and recording vehicle mileage as needed or requested by supervisor.Fuel transit fleet and check all motor vehicle fluid levels and refill as needed (oil, transmission, coolant and windshield wiper).Responsible for completing pull offs for road calls as delegated by supervisor or leader on duty.Ensure all required duty checklists are completed and accurate in compliance with company policyCleaners must be able to perform the essential job functions in all assigned work areas as needed or requested.Performs other related duties as assigned by SupervisorMaintain compliance with all company policies and proceduresDESIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES
