    Your Mission on the Team:

    You will be responsible for the overall design and development of satellites for the Meridian Space constellation, from concept through on-orbit operation. This includes top level design, risk and cost assessment, systems engineering, testing and operations. As part of a small team tackling ambitious challenges, you’ll take full ownership of satellite performance in orbit - driving each phase of development to ensure mission success and dependable service delivery.

    Basic Qualifications:

    5+ years professional design/development experience in satellite systems.Proven experience as a leader on at least one satellite program.Skill in using and creating software tools to model systems performance across a variety of disciplines (MATLAB, Python, Excel, etc.)Strong understanding of satellite technologies, design principles, and concepts of operationsBachelor’s degree in aerospace engineering or related fieldStrong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills

    Your Mission on the Team:

    You will own the end-to-end payload architecture, design, procurement and test strategy for the Meridian satellite payload, including:

    Optimizing the analog communications payload design across performance, cost, reliability, flexibility, and feasibility, leveraging Meridian's unique IP and satcom constellation approachIdentifying and partnering with vendors and technology providers to deliver the best overall payload architectureTranslating constellation level requirements into payload requirements, interfaces and verification plansTracking all payload applications and ensuring the design meets requirements across each use caseRunning trade studies on alternative payload configurations to identify the optimal fit for the Meridian constellationPlanning, forecasting, and managing R&D efforts for communications payload subsystemsDeveloping and overseeing the payload level qualification and end to end test planEnsuring procured payload units and subsystems meet Meridian’s performance, cost, schedule and qualification requirementsWorking closely with spacecraft, ground, systems and operations teams to validate the full end to end payload system


    Basic Qualifications:

    Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, RF Engineering, Communications Engineering, or related field 5+ years professional experience in communications payload, antenna, or RF systems design and development Strong understanding of analog RF/communications systems and antennas, including amplifiers, filters, frequency conversion, antenna design, and link budget analysis Experience leading payload trade studies across performance, cost, reliability, and manufacturability Skill in using and creating software tools to model communications and antenna systems performance (MATLAB, Python, ADS, HFSS, STK, etc.) Ability to work autonomously and exercise sound engineering judgement Strong interpersonal, verbal communication, and written communication skills

    Your Mission on the Team:

    Your mission is to accelerate the development of the novel antenna technologies at the core of Meridian Space’s next-generation approach to LEO satellite communications. You will be responsible for research, simulation, design, optimization, testing, and calibration - leading to the rapid deployment these technologies in an operational satellite constellation.

    Basic Qualifications:

    At least 5 years of experience with a Bachelor’s, or a Master’s degree in an engineering discipline with an emphasis in electromagnetic theory and/or microwave circuits Good, intuitive understanding of electromagnetics and optics in microwave systems (refraction, diffraction, Huygen’s principle, etc.) Experience in designing electronically scanned antennasExperience in the design of patches, horns, or similar compact antennasExpertise in electromagnetic simulation tools like HFSS, CST, or FEKOApplication of system simulation tools like Python or MATLABFamiliarity with range testing and ability to operate relevant test equipmentExcellent verbal and written communications skills and ability to work in a team

    Preferred Qualifications:

    Experience developing reflectarray or transmitarray antennasExperience designing antennas for PCB manufacturabilityBroader experience of RF/microwave systems (particularly 10.7 GHz – 51.4 GHz)Experience with passive RF component characterizationExperience with near field antenna range testingExperience with advanced beamforming methodsExperience using automation to conduct exploratory RF design analysisExperience with space-qualified systems
