Position Title:Hospitalist – ARNP/PA
Location: AdventHealth Orlando
Schedule: Monday-Friday and every 3rd weekend (2p-10p)
Position Summary:
CFIM is seeking an experienced and quality-driven Nurse Practitioner (ARNP) to join our hospitalist team at CFIM. This role is designed for a provider with strong clinical acumen, efficiency in managing admissions and discharges, and a commitment to patient-centered care. The ARNP will play a key role in improving quality metrics, ensuring timely transitions of care, and enhancing the patient experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Admissions:
- Complete Admit orders within 30 minutes.
- Ensure proper ordersets completed as established by Medical Director.
- Glycemic Management
- Conduct medication reconciliation (for patients with >5 medications, verify accuracy when entered by nursing/pharmacy tech; otherwise, proceed with completion).
- Place ED to Admit for remote campuses.
- Manage Round Robin Process.
Discharges & Patient Experience:
- Engage with discharged patients to discuss their care plan, discharge instructions, and overall experience.
- Educate patients about HCAHPS surveys and the role of their provider (provider business cards required).
- Proactively place necessary transition orders during multidisciplinary rounds (MDRs), including PT/OT/ST, case management, and follow-up care.
- Complete and sign required discharge documentation (3008/1823 forms).
Multidisciplinary Rounds (MDR) if applicable & Discharge Coordination:
- Observation LOS Management.
- Check in with HRN and Case Management to confirm discharge processes are on track and assist in resolving any barriers (e.g., physician orders, 3008s, prescriptions).
Additional Clinical Responsibilities:
- Ability to create History & Physicals (H&P) and Discharge Summaries, including:
- Completing After Visit Summaries (AVS).
- Updating discharge medication reconciliation as needed.
Flexibility & Coverage Based on Census Needs:
The ARNP must be willing to round at multiple campuses, including:
- AH Orlando
- AH Winter Park
- AH Altamonte Springs
- IRF
Qualifications:
- Current and unrestricted ARNP license in Florida.
- Board certification as a Nurse Practitioner in Acute Care, Adult-Gerontology, or Family Medicine.
- Hospitalist or inpatient experience preferred.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
- Commitment to quality improvement initiatives and patient-centered care.

This role plays a key part in expanding service line awareness, increasing patient referrals, and fostering partnerships within acute care hospitals, inpatient rehabilitation facilities, long-term acute care hospitals, and post-acute and assisted living environments.
The Regional Director will work under the direction of the Executive Director to execute business development strategies, identify new referral opportunities, and strengthen relationships with healthcare providers and community partners. A strong emphasis is placed on meeting census goals, enhancing brand visibility, and promoting a culture of growth and collaboration. The assigned region will be in the Pinellas/Pasco/Hernando & surrounding area. We offer competitive pay, with salary determined based on experience, as well as bonus opportunities.
This position requires a self-motivated, results-driven professional who excels in communication, strategic outreach, and healthcare relationship management.
Salary is based on skills and experience, within the range of $60,000–$75,000, plus a robust bonus program with strong earning potential tied to performance. Candidates must be located in FL with the ability to travel daily for the assigned region, and must have knowledge of the hospital/health facility systems.

Identify market trends and growth opportunities across acute and post-acute sectors.Implement business development plans to support territory-level growth goals.Monitor competitor activity and report findings to inform outreach strategies.Support service line promotion and community education initiatives.Provider & Partner Relations
Build and maintain relationships with PCPs, specialists, MSOs, hospitalists, and other referral sources.Re-engage inactive or low-referring providers through targeted outreach efforts.Collaborate with care teams and leadership to improve the referral experience.Referral & Sales Development
Conduct referral source mapping and prioritize outreach to high-potential accounts.Track referral trends and communicate patterns to the Executive Director and internal stakeholders.Create and execute customized outreach plans for underperforming markets or facilities.Marketing & Community Engagement
Coordinate development and distribution of territory-specific marketing materials.Organize and attend local events such as provider luncheons, health fairs, and community forums.Represent the organization at local and regional networking events.Operational Support & Communication
Ensure timely updates to providers regarding admissions and discharges.Maintain accurate records of outreach, activity logs, and referral tracking through CRM tools.Assist with territory-specific appreciation efforts, such as gift deliveries or holiday initiatives.Cross-Functional Support
Collaborate with clinical and operational leaders to support new service launches or territory expansion.Provide feedback from the field to inform strategy and improve operational alignment.Participate in special projects and performance initiatives as directed by the Executive Director.*Other duties and projects assigned by the Executive Director.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, Marketing, or related field required.Minimum of 2 – 4 years of healthcare business development, sales, or provider relations experience.Strong knowledge of the healthcare continuum including acute, post-acute, LTAC, IPR, and AL.Demonstrated ability to develop productive relationships with healthcare providers and referral sources.Proven success in meeting growth and referral targets.Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills; ability to connect with diverse stakeholders.Highly organized, self-directed, and able to manage multiple priorities across a large region.Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM tools.Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel within assigned region.Preferred Skills
