    Position Details:

    Location: Pickens County VA

    Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm

    Type of Role: On-site care for Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) beneficiaries

    Outpatient setting on site Direct Patient Care

    Key Responsibilities:

    Deliver high-quality psychiatric care to veterans.

    Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support patient mental health needs.

    Outpatient setting

    6 to 6.5 direct patient care hours per day or 12 patients for one half-hour each; or any combination of one-hour and one-half hour appointment per day

    Shall be responsible for providing comprehensive psychiatric services for Veterans enrolled for care in the Atlanta VA Healthcare System Outpatient Clinics. Provide general psychiatric care to male and female adult Veterans which includes, but is not limited to, conducting diagnostic evaluations, psychiatric consultation, medication management, and individual psychotherapy. The psychiatrist provides assessment of serious and complicated cases involving psychiatric illness, catastrophic medical conditions, dementia and other high-risk diagnoses

    Qualifications:

    Board Certified or Board Eligible Psychiatrist: Active certification or eligibility required.

    Unrestricted State Medical License: Valid and in good standing in any U.S. state.

    DEA Certification: Current and unrestricted DEA license.

    BLS thru the AHA or American Red Cross
