Well established and growing healthcare defense firm has an immediate opening for a full-time Legal Assistant to support the essential daily functions critical to the firm’s success. This is a full-time, in-office position in Southfield, Michigan.
The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of litigation defense experience, preferably in medical malpractice. The firm is also open to training a highly-motivated individual who demonstrates a strong work ethic, a proactive approach, and a strong desire to learn.
Responsibilities:
Day to day support of attorneys.Review and docketing of daily mail.Managing attorney calendaring, including scheduling of attorney conferences, depositions, meetings.Preparation of legal pleadings.Filing of documents with all courts.Answering of Firm telephone calls.Other duties as assigned.Qualifications:
