Role Summary The Inventory Operations role supports the accurate flow, tracking, and quality of materials within a wholesale plumbing, heating, and industrial supply environment. This position manages high‑volume material returns, ensures vendor credits are received, handles defective product for both showroom and trade operations, and resolves inventory discrepancies. The role requires strong communication with vendors, close collaboration with warehouse and showroom teams, and the ability to work directly with company owners. A technical, operational mindset and proficiency in Excel and Eclipse are essential. Key Responsibilities Manage and process high‑volume material returns, ensuring timely and accurate handling. Communicate directly with vendors to secure credits, resolve discrepancies, and follow up until completion. Oversee defective or damaged materials for both showroom and trade divisions. Run, analyze, and interpret inventory reports to maintain accurate stock levels. Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies across systems and physical locations. Collaborate daily with warehouse and showroom teams to support inventory accuracy and product flow. Maintain strong follow‑up practices to ensure issues are resolved quickly and thoroughly. Communicate inventory issues, trends, and resolutions directly with company owners and leadership. Qualifications Bachelors Degree preferred Proficiency in Excel (sorting, filtering, formulas) and Eclipse (or similar ERP/inventory systems). Strong operational and analytical mindset with the ability to troubleshoot inventory issues. Excellent communication skills, including vendor interaction and internal team coordination. Ability to work effectively with warehouse and showroom teams in a fast‑paced environment. Detail‑oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities. Experience in wholesale distribution, plumbing/heating supply, or industrial products is a plus.
