Provide customer and order support for mechanical distribution products by assisting customers with product selection and troubleshooting, processing quotes, orders, returns, and inventory transactions in an ERP system, and coordinating with vendors and internal teams to support order fulfillment, repairs, and billing.
Responsibilities
Assist customers in troubleshooting product issues and documenting reported problems including mechanical and fluid power.Identify and recommend products based on customer application requirements.Examine returned products to determine failure condition and required corrective action.Process customer inquiries related to product specifications, pricing, availability, and order status.Prepare and issue customer quotes using current pricing and inventory data.Enter and maintain sales orders, blanket orders, and release schedules in Profit 21 (P21).Process return material authorizations (RMAs) and record findings in ERP.Explain technical concepts including torque, horsepower, pressure, and work as they relate to product application (mechanical and fluid systems).Apply basic physical principles, including the differences between solids, liquids, and gases, when reviewing product use cases.Expedite orders by coordinating with vendors, warehouse staff, and freight carriers.Generate invoices and follow up on unpaid balances per accounts receivable procedures.Run and review inventory, open order, purchase order, quote, and billing reports.Track and resolve outstanding order, inventory, return, and billing issues.Perform inventory control activities including tracking, counts, and adjustments.Handle shipping and receiving activities as assigned.Support territory managers with quoting, order processing, and customer follow‐up.

Technical Support
