    Associate Director of Admissions Description


    Responsibilities:

    Work closely with Director of Admissions (DOA) daily; readily available to lead and manage the admissions department and all activities in the absence of the DOA, and willing to re-locate as needed.Assist in hiring and training admissions officers.Represent South College in a variety of settings, on and off campus without any supervision.Help manage the processes associated with undergraduate general student and graduate admissions programs as so determined.Help to enforce all policies and procedures of the institution and the admissions department.Complete weekly and monthly admission reports as requested.Provide motivation to admissions staff.The Associate Director also performs duties of an Admissions Officer (AO) while driving activity and providing oversight for campus admissions.Welcome students by actively participating in all steps of the enrollment process (required paperwork, qualifications, campus tours, financial aid, and obtaining class schedules).Campus based officers are expected to lead tours for prospective students and visitors, with a minimum of 50% of the role requiring physical activities such as walking and navigating around the campus.Provide adequate and accurate information relative to the college and its programs.If requested, assist students in selecting their program of study based upon professional judgement, available test scores, high school, and/or college transcripts.Qualify applicants for admission who meet the stated college admissions requirements.Utilize effective use of time by making all required phone calls, follow-ups, generating referrals and other daily activities in pursuit of departmental objectives.Consistently perform the activities that support individual and overall team admissions processes by following policies and procedures.Adhere to the approved annual departmental budget.50% production/50% training /leadership.Other duties as deemed appropriate by supervisor.

    We are currently seeking an experienced academic advisor to join the South College, Knoxville team of Student Success Advisors (SSA). SSAs help the students set and achieve academic goals, acquire relevant information and services, and make responsible decisions consistent with interests, goals, abilities, and degree requirements. The successful candidate will have knowledge and understanding of academic advising practices and be skilled in applying these practices in their work. They will understand the process of academic advising and how to deliver a personalized advising experience to each student, which includes academic outreach to at risk students, sharing program requirements, registration, and career planning.

    Dental Hygiene/Assisting - Program Director Description


    South College Nashville is seeking a Dental Hygiene Program Director to jump in and grow our already thriving Dental Hygiene Program! The Program director has full control and oversight of all 3 Dental Programs. These programs admit students twice a year in the Spring and Fall quarters with Cohorts in Dental Assisting reaching a maximum of 24 students and the Cohorts in Dental Hygiene reaching a maximum of 40 students.

    The Program Director will provide instruction and implement the Dental Hygiene and Dental Assisting programs, educating students in the study of dental hygiene and dental assisting in accordance with the Commission on Dental Accreditation curriculum standards and objectives.

This position is full-time, on-site at the Knoxville Lonas or Parkside Campus with the need for flexibility on evenings and weekends. This role will require local travel to represent South College at high schools in Knoxville, TN and the surrounding areas.

    South College, a regional leader in Higher Education, is continuing its growth strategy both geographically and in its program offerings as they continue to expand their Competency Based Education (CBE). South College is recruiting a CBE (Competency-Based Education) Student Success Mentor. This individual will serve as a point of contact for advising, student pacing, and retention for current students. This individual will provide 1 to 1 support with students and their academic progress. Student success mentors will need to have content experience within the area and must understand how to help students pace in a non-traditional educational model.


    Responsibilities

    Mentor and coach CBE students in a 1 to 1 setting to support students successfully completing their program.Committed to student success by providing direct, holistic support evidenced by SMART goal setting, retention, and FERPA compliant documentation.Serve as the main point of contact for students and connect them with other departments.Schedule regular meetings to track and monitor progress, offering proactive and reactive support to students.Consistent and direct communication with students in a variety of modes is essential to the success of this position.Promptly responds to student emails and inquiries and communicates professionally.Foster growth mindset and support student learning through positive interactions and motivational practices.Utilize multiple technology platforms for communication and to monitor, track, and document students’ progress.Collaborate with other Mentors and CBE staff to support students' progress and success.
