    Qualifications:

    • Board-certified Acute Care Nurse Practitioner
    • Prior experience practicing in the ICU as an acute care trained nurse practitioner -2-3 years post graduate practice preferred
    • Ability to work autonomously to manage a high volume of complex cases, including critical interventions such as intubations, central lines, arterial lines, thoracentesis
    • Ability to collaboratively work with team members inside and outside of the ICU

    Scheduling:

    • Advanced Practice Provider 12-hour, onsite night coverage, 7 p.m. - 7 a.m. in collaboration with tele-ICU

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Provide care to patients in the medical/surgical ICU, admitting patients to the medical ICU, and collaborating to care for patients in the surgical ICU.
    • The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to independently assess, examine, and provide care to critically ill patients, including procedures. They will present and participate in daily multidisciplinary rounds in the ICU, work autonomously and multitask within the critical care team, committing to excellence in clinical service while demonstrating problem-solving abilities necessary to serve our patients first

    • Our 20-bed ICU is closed, and we primarily care for med/surg patients. Our critical care facility is modern, having opened in the fall of 2022.
    • We have one intensivist during the day and one intensivist at night. Monday through Friday, there is an APP that works alongside the intensivist during the day.

    Scheduling:

    • Full-time positions follow a 7-days-on, 7-days- off rotation.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Hospitalist responsibilities: ICU coverage in addition to rounding responsibilities.
    • Procedural requirements: intubations, central lines, vent management, arterial lines, stress tests, PIC lines.
