Candidate area of expertise should include electrical switch gear and lighting, with a diversified background in the commodities to support these solutions. Is expected to own end-to-end selling of appropriate products and focus on driving growth among target accounts and new accounts.

    We are looking for an Outside Salesperson who:
    Makes personal sales calls at customer establishments on a regular basis, seeking new opportunities and new customer leads.     Role Summary

    Summit's warehouse delivery associates play a pivotal role in fulfilling our customers' needs for materials and services by pulling customer orders, ensuring their accuracy, preparing them for delivery, and safely and promptly delivering material to customer job sites. Warehouse delivery associates represent Summit to our customers and have opportunities to gather valuable customer feedback and needs that they can pass on to Summit's sales team. When not on a delivery, these associates participate in other warehouse activities. This role is one of Summit's entry level branch positions and an excellent role to be introduced to the business and learn skills, product knowledge, and industry best practices that prepare the associate for future opportunities at Summit.

    Principle Accountabilities
    Maintain a clean vehicle, daily driver logs and weekly vehicle inspection reportsPull customer tickets to fulfill orders.Load and unload Summit trucksSafely deliver products to customer locations.Provide exceptional service to all customers.Ability to use iPad to review orders and collect signaturesReport all delivery issues and concernsPrepare orders for shipment to customers.Receive and stock products on a daily basis to replenish inventory.Understand products and their capabilities and warranties.Assist sales associates in fulfilling customer orders when necessary.Ensure warehouse and respective outside areas are neat and clean at all times.Maintaining safe practices and proactively upholds Summit's commitment to a safe workplace.

    Responsibilities

    Lead, Coach and develop the Inventory Control team, including leads and associates.Establish performance expectations, conduct evaluations and support professional development.Ensure staffing levels and workflows support operational needs.Oversee daily monitoring of system queues related to returns, defectives, items in review, backorders and disputed transfers.Ensure timely resolution of discrepancies via Shipping, Receiving, Operations, Wire Yard, Pipe Yard, Dematic (Goods to Person Automation)Manage and approve all stock returns and RGA return processes.Oversee bin location maintenance, slotting strategies and warehouse mapping.Monitor non-stock inventory and ensure proper documentation controls (Aged tagged inventory)Own the SUSA Cycle Count program, including planning preparation, execution and variance analysis for metrics.Maintain and update SOPs related to inventory control, ensuring alignment with CDC operationsIdentify process gaps and implement improvements to reduce errors and increase efficiency.Manager scrap process and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.Support management of dead and obsolete inventory, including reporting and disposition strategies.Partner with Shipping, Receiving, Operations, Wire Yard, Pipe Yard, Dematic (Goods to Person Automation) and Transportation to ensure inventory accuracy across all workflows.Support Crawford locations, cross-docks and other network locations with inventory control and returns process.Provide inventory analysis and reporting to leadership to support decision making.Maintain and enhance inventory performance dashboards, reporting tools with the help of in-house Crawford Data Analysts.Track KPIs such as accuracy, top offenders, shrink, adjustments, cycle count compliance and return processing.Perform additional duties as required to support CDC operations.
    Qualifications

    Detail oriented with excellent communication and time management skills.Self-motivated, positive attitude, able to multi-task within a fast-paced environment.Inventory/purchasing knowledge including procurement - order points, line points, demand, safety stock, excess and dead stock, WMS & RF experience.Good and dependable mathematic, verbal, and written communication skills, Proven leadership and organization skills, Reliable, Responsible, and a great work ethic.College degree in Industrial Distribution, Business Management and/or equivalent industry experience is preferred but not required, 5+ years' electrical distribution industry experience.
    Environment

    Typical environment includes offices and warehouse.Light to moderate noise level. While performing the duties of this job, employee is frequently required to stand.The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

    Promptly answer and distribute correspondence e.g., phone calls, email and mail. Transfer calls, take a message or page as appropriate.Greet incoming representatives and customers.     A Customer Delivery Driver for Capital Electric is responsible for checking and loading material onto truck, delivering material to customer or Capital Electric branch in a timely professional manner, and forming positive customer relationships to ensure the correct material reaches the customer while maintaining the reputation of providing a reliable and accountable delivery service.

    Responsibilities:
    • Check material in staging area and load truck
    • Create shipping manifests
    • Perform truck maintenance inspections
    • Deliver material to customers and/or Capital Electric branch locations
    • Drive truck defensively, cautiously, and respectfully to various locations
    • Unload and place material where customer requests
    • Provide good customer service
    • Pick-up customer returns
    • Unload truck of customer returns
    • Follow verbal and written instructions with minimal supervision
    • Be on time and work diligently with co-workers
    • Multi-task and continually prioritize tasks to be completed throughout the day
    • Other duties as required

    Minimum Qualifications:
    • CDL Class B License
    • 2 years driving experience - tractor-trailer or flatbed preferred
    • No prior traffic violations or license suspensions for one year
    • Able to lift up to 50 lbs. on regular basis; up to 70 lbs. occasionally
    • Reliable, responsible, and a great work ethic
