    Setup Technician Job description: We are an industry leader in high volume thermoplastic production and manufacturing - and we're growing. We're looking for a weekend injection molding Set-Up Technician to join our family! Full-time - 42 hours per week (includes paid over time) C Shift (Thursday 12PM-6PM & Friday - Sunday 6AM-6PM) Essential Functions: Perform daily setups, startups, shutdowns, pulls and end of run, line clearance of machines, related equipment, and materials Remove, clean, document, store tooling, and install per process Identify and communicate gaps within Setup Instructions, Cycle Sheets, Work Instructions, and other processes Partner with Quality and or Engineering to maintain quality and improve efficiency or processes Monitor presses and alarms to troubleshoot and course-correct production processes that are not meeting output expectations Maintains an organized work area (5S) to include workstations, equipment, walkways, etc. Reads and complies with work instructions, set up sheets, and checklists Back up for Material Handler Qualifications, Education, Skills, and/or Experience Required: Demonstrate processing or mechanical experience Efficient in Microsoft products including Outlook, Excel, Word Ability to do basic arithmetic (add, subtract, multiply, divide, fractions and decimals) Able to become familiar with the many types of resins Ability to operate a forklift and overhead cranes Ability to promote and maintain a safe work environment Able to use measuring instruments such as scales, calipers, and dial Indicators Blueprint reading Mechanically inclined Physical Requirements: Able to lift up to 40 pounds Standing, walking, bending, kneeling, lifting, pushing-pulling, and reaching throughout the entire shift Manual dexterity or fine motor skills What's in it for you?     Job Summary: This Operations Manager role is responsible for the operating profitability and performance of a world class GMP/GDP food facility and team. This role will execute day-to-day site operations to ensure short and long term strategies and tactics critical to operational success are met. Job titles reporting to the Operations Manager: Shipping/Receiving Manager, Tooling Manager, A/B/C/D Shift Operations Supervisors and Industrial Engineering. Essential Functions: Servant Leadership. Translates strategic plans to tactics effectively executing the business plans and growth projections. Directs and coordinates activities of the assigned manufacturing facility through Supervisors and Team Leads to meet or exceed customer's timeline, quality requirements and budgetary constraints. Development and communication of clear, concise and measurable SQDIC performance metrics through Tier Accountability to assure performance and bottom up communication. Promote safety and ensure teams compliance with all safety and environmental rules, policies and procedures. Qualifications, Education, Skills, and/or Experience required: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Related field with 10+ years in plant/operations management with at least 5 years in a plastics manutacturing environment. Plastics experience must include either injection molding or blow molding. Lean manufacturing experience Demonstrated experience driving Operational Excellence, Lean tools, best practices and continuous improvement Experience supporting a team in a 24/7 shop leadership position Knowledge of Epicor or similar ERP/MRP software (Epicor) Experience in technical training programs and development of technical employees Strong computer skills, to include Excel and Word Can drive continuous improvement and problem solving culture. Six Sigma Greenbelt certification (preferred), with solid statistical analysis and problem solving expertise. We're looking for a weekend injection molding Apprentice Set-Up Technician to join our family! Full-time - 42 hours per week (includes paid over time) C Shift (Thursday 12PM-6PM & Friday - Sunday 6AM-6PM) The goal of the Apprentice Setup Technician program is to provide a progression opportunity and training in the role of a Setup Technician for candidates and an evaluation of a candidate's ability in the Setup Technician role for Solidify. The apprentice duration is considered a twelve-month engagement which will consist of (as applicable/available): School or course instruction (Paulson training, Community College, etc). Partner with an existing technician for completion of the appropriate training guides. On the job training and time in the role. At the end of the twelve-month time period a formal recommendation from the trainer and Operations Leadership staff will be made to promote the candidate full time to Setup Tech or return to their previous and/or comparable position. Our company reserves the right to promote or return an individual to their previous position (assuming current good standing) at any time throughout the process based on an individual's capabilities or solely on the discretion of the Operations Director.
