    C&I Project Manager (Solar + Energy Storage)
    End-to-End Ownership | Pre-Construction → Closeout

    About the Role

    We’re looking for a driven Commercial & Industrial (C&I) Project Manager to lead solar and battery energy storage (BESS) projects from early development all the way through construction and final closeout.

    This is a true end-to-end ownership role—you’ll be at the center of everything, making sure projects are planned right, executed well, and delivered on time, on budget, and at a high standard of quality.

    ???? What You’ll Do

    Project Development & Pre-Construction

    Lead early project planning including site assessments, constructability reviews, project feasibility, and execution planningCoordinate engineering, design deliverables, and permitting activitiesEnsure all project components (designs, permits, materials) are ready prior to constructionAlign internal teams (sales, engineering, procurement) to ensure smooth project kickoff

    Project Execution & Construction

    Oversee project execution from mobilization through completionCoordinate subcontractors, vendors, and field teams to ensure work progresses on scheduleMonitor project performance, proactively identify risks, and resolve issues quicklyMaintain control over schedule, cost, quality, and safety

    Customer & Stakeholder Management

    Serve as the primary point of contact for customers throughout the project lifecycleProvide regular project updates and ensure a high-quality customer experienceResolve issues, discrepancies, and change requests in a timely manner

    Budget, Schedule & Performance

    Develop and manage project schedules and key milestonesTrack project costs, manage change orders, and maintain financial performanceEnsure projects are delivered on time and within budgetActively understand and contribute to shaping the master project pipeline

    Commissioning & Closeout

    Oversee commissioning, system testing, and final performance verificationManage punch lists and ensure all deficiencies are resolvedLead project closeout including documentation, approvals, and customer handoff✅ What Success Looks Like

    ???? What You Bring

    • 5+ years in project management, construction, or project engineering
    • Experience with C&I solar projects (rooftop, carport, or ground-mount)
    • Familiarity with BESS (big plus)
    • Strong understanding of construction workflows & subcontractor management
    • Ability to read electrical drawings & single-line diagrams
    • Experience managing budgets, schedules, and multiple stakeholders
    • Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills

    Electrical Project Engineer – Solar (Commercial & Industrial)

    Solar Gain is seeking a driven Electrical Project Engineer to support the successful delivery of Commercial & Industrial (C&I) solar projects. If you enjoy being in the field, solving real-world challenges, and working alongside high-performing teams—this role is built for you.

    What You’ll Do

    As a key member of our Operations team, you’ll partner closely with the Electrical Construction Manager and field teams to keep projects running smoothly from pre-construction through commissioning.

    Key responsibilities include:

    Support planning, scheduling, procurement, and execution of solar projects

    Manage material orders, inventory, and equipment readiness

    Coordinate submittals, change orders, and project documentation

    Conduct site visits to monitor safety, progress, and quality

    Ensure compliance with OSHA, NFPA, NEC, and local codes

    Assist with commissioning, reporting, and project closeout

    Collaborate with internal teams and interface with customers as needed

    ⚡ Safety First

    This is a safety-sensitive role involving rooftop work, exposure to weather conditions, and proximity to energized electrical systems. Comprehensive training is provided, and strict safety protocols are always followed.

    What You Bring

    Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Journeyman Electrician certification

    2+ years in a similar role (solar industry experience preferred)

    Strong understanding of NEC, UBC, and electrical systems

    Project management and organizational skills

    Proficiency with computers and technical tools

    OSHA-10 certification (or willingness to obtain)

    Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

    Work Environment

    Mix of field and office work

    Travel required (weekly) across Arizona and California

    Work at heights (rooftops up to 30+ feet)

    Occasional weekend work depending on project needs
