    What You'll Do

    Sol de Janeiro is looking for a magnetic Global Director of Social Media, Content & Community to turn our fans into loyalists, our rituals into culture, and our content into a movement. Responsible for global storytelling, brand voice and digital engagement, you'll ensure Sol de Janeiro is positioned as a leader in the beauty and lifestyle space.

    What You'll Be Working On

    Strategy & Leadership
    Develop and implement a cohesive global social media strategy that drives engagement, growth, and cultural heat, aligning with overall brand and business objectives. Own the social identity, ensuring a distinct, platform-native, consistent brand presence across all platforms (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest, and emerging spaces), ensuring our content is best-in-class, thumb-stopping, and inherently social Ensure the brand builds culturally heat, actively identifies opportunities for conversation and builds brand love through social-first storytelling Champion and evolve how we showcase new and existing products, always pushing the envelope with a focus on fresh ways to engage and educate our audiences Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Global Consumer Engagement, PR/Influence, Commercial, CX, Product, ESG) to ensure social media and content strategies are integrated into broader marketing efforts Identify opportunities to bridge digital and on the ground efforts as content and community building moments Own and manage the social content creation, community and platform budgets
    Content Creation & Campaign Management
    Oversee the development, production, and execution of compelling and innovative social-first content that resonates with diverse global audiences across various platforms (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, Pinterest, Facebook, etc) Own content calendars, formats, and storytelling frameworks, ensuring timely and engaging posts that drive engagement, brand awareness and conversions- aligning with broader marketing initiatives while allowing for real-time agility. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to develop holistic, integrated campaigns that resonate across touchpoint Lead creative direction for various content shoots (including on-location that highlight the brand's Brazilian DNA), social-first storytelling, and video production in collaboration with the content team in partnership with the in-house creative team Ensure seamless integration of visual assets across organic and paid social, brand campaigns, and UGC content Manage real-time, reactive content strategies, keeping the brand at the forefront of key cultural conversations. Collaborate with cross-functional team leads to develop and execute high-impact campaign content that leverages emerging social media trends, technologies, and platforms.
    Community & Engagement
    Oversee community strategy, ensuring deep engagement and two-way conversations with our audience. Collaborate with Lifecycle and Consumer Engagement to turn fans into loyalists Work with community manager to refinebrand voice, engagement tactics, and social best practices Develop playbooks for commentary, tone, and engagement, ensuring a unified presence across platforms. Act as a guardian of our brand reputation-managing crisis response, sentiment tracking, and ensuring positive social perception.
    Global Ownership
    Coordinate with regional teams to ensure global strategies are adapted effectively for local markets while maintaining brand consistency via guidelines and toolkit development. Ensure visibility and alignment of social media efforts with local marketing campaigns, events, and product launches.
    Data-Driven Insights & Performance
    Establish and track KPIs for engagement, growth, and impact, leveraging analytics to continuously optimize strategy Implement a test-and-learn approach, A/B testing formats, copy, and creative approaches to maximize performance. Stay ahead of platform updates, algorithms, and emerging features, ensuring we are always adopting best-in-class practices.
    Leadership & Team Management
    Build, mentor, and manage a high-performing social team Foster a culture of creativity, experimentation, and excellence, ensuring the team is set up for success. Partner closely with cross-functional leads to ensure a cohesive approach to content, social, and experiential storytelling. Must Haves
    8+ years of experience in social media for a high-growth consumer brand(lifestyle, fashion, CPG or other industries known for strong brand storytelling). A creative visionary, able to develop compelling narratives, ideate campaigns, and give strong creative direction that drives engagement, brand love, and press attention. Proficiency in key social and creative tools,including but not limited to content scheduling, and creative software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, CapCut, Canva, video editing tools). Deep expertise in Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest, and emerging platforms-knowing how to craft platform-native content that performs. Proven success in scaling social audiences and creating engagement-driving content that earns press and cultural impact Experience leading social teams, driving high-quality social storytelling. A digital native with a cultural pulse. You live and breathe socially and instinctively know what works. Strong analytical mindset, with experience leveraging data and insights to optimize content performance. Experience with UGC, influencer amplification, and community engagement best practices Comfortable working cross-functionally in a fast-paced, evolving environment Ability to roll up your sleeves. This is a player-coach role that requires creative and strategic execution. This role follows a hybrid schedule, requiring three in-office days per week at our NYC location.
    Salary Range

    $160,000-$190,000 USD

    Full-Cycle Recruiting
    Own full-cycle recruitment for roles across corporate, creative, marketing, operations, supply chain, retail, and international teams. Conduct first round interviews and present qualified candidates with clear, structured assessments. Manage requisitions, job postings, and hiring workflows inside Greenhouse. Build strong relationships with hiring managers, guiding them through best practices and interview process consistency.
    Scheduling & Candidate Coordination
    Lead all interview scheduling across time zones, maintaining an exceptional candidate and hiring manager experience. Serve as the primary point of contact for candidates, ensuring timely communication and a high touch, professional experience.
    Sourcing & Talent Engagement

    What You'll Do

    The Director, Key Accounts role is responsible for omnichannel account leadership with a focus on best-in-class retail partnership, fostering excellent working relationships with all members of the retailer merchant teams. This leader will build omnichannel launch plans with retail and internal cross-functional partners. This role will work alongside cross-functional sales, marketing, digital, operations, and finance teams on key projects to build the business in key retailers while driving retail sales growth and net shipments.

    Wholesale Account Leadership and Relationship-Building
    Manage key Sephora US Account business for Sol de Janeiro and build strong, collaborative relationship with retailer teams.Manage Sephora Account Manager- Canada ensuring CA aligns to the NA Strategy and offers unique Exclusives (where applicable).Manage, Sephora NA Assistant Manager, KA and ensure development and growth across the Sephora NA portfolio with Account support of US, CA Grow the NA business in alignment with shared performance goals, remaining competitive and maintaining top rankings. Drive strong revenue and profitability growth, achieving aggressive sales goals while expanding market share and supporting omnichannel plans.Advocate for Sol de Janeiro brand positioning and point of difference with our retailer counterparts.Identify risks and opportunities to sell-in and sell-through plan and propose and execute innovative solutions.
    Retailer Marketing Exposure Planning
    Manage 360 omnichannel opportunity planning in partnership with retailer and internal Sol de Janeiro team, including digital and in-store exposures for both permanent gondola/wall fixturing and temporary locations, sell-in sales, dot.com, media and social strategy, and sampling and loyalty/CRM initiatives, optimizing key levers and being best-in-class partners.
    Core and Launch Strategic Support
    Partner with retailer to identify key market trends and focus categories to drive collaborative product development and best-in-class digital strategy.Work closely with cross-functional teams to build new go-to-market strategies and 360 support elements to maximize launches and brand potential tailored to our retail partners' needs.Partner with education and events internal resources to align on strategy, planning and execution to support core and new launches.
    Inventory Analysis
    Partner with internal planner to develop and communicate detailed plans and ensure adequate inventory support in-store and online. Responsible for the overall stock levels and ensuring that appropriate product mix of stock is available in the stores/online by assuring timely ordering, proactively monitoring and resolving low or out-of-stock conditions.Manage and collaborate with Planning team on Sell In/Sell out forecasts and actuals, ensuring we are tracking to AOP Budget and LE Forecasts.
    Visual Merchandising
    Partner with visual merchandising, marketing and retailer teams to execute instore visual merchandising deliverables including Calendar layout, design, planograms, timelines, (endcaps/towers/gondola) and corresponding inventory planning and support.Ensure Communication with Sephora is clear, consistent and timely around VM timelines, deadlines and VM Strategy. Act as Liaison for Sephora with all VM Asks, requests, updates, feedback while ensuring we represent and do right by SDJ.
    Sales Reporting and Analysis
    Weekly sales reporting and communication, identifying opportunities, amplifying successes, tracking rankings etc.
    Budget Management
    Responsible for US Sephora Budget planning + promotional budget planning and tracking.Assist in Managing Total NA Sephora Budgets Must Haves:
    Bachelor's degree preferred8+ years in Sales/Account Management, Category Management or Retail Management. Experience working with Sephora corporate team is preferred.Strong analytical ability; attention to detail and organizational/time management skills.Ability to work with data from multiple sources and interpret the data to provide actionable conclusions.Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills required.Desire to work in a strong team environment.     What You'll Do

    As the Executive Director, Global Product Marketing, Promotion and Merchandise + Special Projects, you will own the global promotions and gifting business category end-to-end, from strategy through execution. This is a highly visible, critical leadership role responsible for shaping and delivering the promotional and gifting roadmap that fuels consumer acquisition, loyalty, and incremental growth. You will set the vision, lead the strategy, and inspire the team to craft best-in-class programs that redefine how beauty promotions and gifting drive engagement in the prestige category.

    You will be accountable for bringing bold, creative, and commercially powerful promo and gifting concepts to life-from holiday programs to limited-edition sets, sampling, merchandise, and gift-with-purchase. Above all, you will ensure Sol de Janeiro's gifting strategy is not just competitive, but industry-leading.

    This role reports to the SVP, Global Product Marketing and leads a team of 3.
    What You'll Be Working On

    Promotional Strategy and Execution:
    Lead the development and execution of promotional strategies and initiatives, including holiday, limited edition sets, sampling programs and gift with purchase promotions. Partner with cross-functional teams to create compelling promotional offers and activations that drive consumer acquisition and sales and that are aligned with retailer specific strategies. Monitor and analyze promotional performance metrics, providing insights and recommendations to optimize promotional effectiveness. Work cross-functionally to ensure seamless execution of promotional initiatives, including execution of program development, creative briefs, campaign needs, and promotional messaging.
    Merchandise Planning and Optimization:
    Develop and execute strategic merchandise plans for the global brand for all merch items including saleable merch and launch support merch and influencer mailers, ensuring alignment with brand vision, consumer preferences, and market demands. Collaborate with procurement, external partners, agencies and vendors to explore new merchandise innovation opportunities, including product design, costing, and coordination for execution. In partnership with Global Consumer Engagement, spearhead collaborations with fashion, creative, and entertainment entities to design and launch trendsetting limited-edition products that captivate our global audience. Collaborate with internal teams to assess merch needs and new opportunities. Utilize consumer insights, market trends, and competitive analysis to inform assortment decisions and identify growth opportunities within the category.
    Special projects:
    You will be responsible for special projects such as sampling and line edit.
    Team Leadership and Development:
    Lead and develop team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement. Provide guidance, mentorship, and support to team members, facilitating their professional growth and development within the organization. Must Haves
    Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or related field required; MBA preferred. 10-15 years of experience in promotions, merchandise planning, or related roles within the beauty or consumer goods industry. Experience in fashion a plus. Proven track record of success in developing and executing strategic promotional, gifting and merchandise initiatives to drive sales and profitability. Strong analytical skills with the ability to leverage consumer insights and market data to inform decision-making and drive results. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders. Demonstrated leadership ability with experience leading and developing high-performing teams.

    Salary Range

    $180,000-$225,000 USD
