    Job Description

    We have an immediate opening for a Field Technician to join our geophysics survey team based in Phoenix, Arizona. This role is perfect for individuals passionate about working outdoors and eager to contribute to geophysical research and exploration projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong desire to conduct fieldwork in various outdoor environments, be detail-oriented, and have excellent data-collection skills. This person will participate in daily geophysical coordination and activities across the company, including conducting geophysical surveys, gathering and compiling data, and collaborating on projects involving our Geotechnical and Environmental groups across our offices.

    Key Responsibilities

    Conduct field surveys using geophysical instruments, including ground penetrating radar, resistivity, seismic, and magnetic equipment. Set up, tear down, calibrate, and maintain survey equipment.Collect, record, and manage field data accurately and efficiently.Work collaboratively with geophysicists and engineers to ensure data quality and project success.Perform routine equipment checks and troubleshooting as needed.Follow safety protocols and environmental regulations during all field activities.

     

    Qualifications

     

    Excellent verbal and written communication skills, a positive attitude, strong organizational skills, and a solid work ethic are essential.Previous experience in fieldwork or geophysical surveys is preferred but not required.Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in various outdoor settings.Strong problem-solving skills, adaptability to changing conditions, and keen attention to detail.Proficient in internet research, email, MS Office, Word, and Excel.Strong technical skills and familiarity with GPS and other surveying tools.Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to remote locations for extended periods.

    Physical Requirements

    Ability to lift and carry equipment weighing up to 100 pounds.Willingness to work in diverse weather conditions and rugged landscapes.

    Location: Phoenix, AZ (but travel throughout the state of Arizona may be required)

    Job Description

    We are seeking an experienced AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) to perform structural steel inspection services on commercial, industrial, and public works construction projects.     Responsibilities

    Job Description

    We are expanding our Building Envelope services to Irvine, California and seek the following candidate.

    This position will report to a Principal, Regional Director or designee level staff member within our local division leadership structure and will involve a variety of general functions, including but not limited to:

    Qualifications:

    · Minimum of 5-10 years working with building envelope project experience

    · Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or Engineering

    · Masters in Architecture or Engineering preferred

    · Register Architect or Professional Engineer status required in the state of California

    · Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings

    · Strong written and verbal communications skills

    · Excellent PC computer skills and experience with Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) or suitable document, computing, and presentation programs

    · Must demonstrate an ability to work independently as well as within a dynamic team environment, to think outside the box, and solve complex problems

    · Ability to be detail-oriented as well as see the bigger picture

    · Ability to travel ~20% of the time

    Perform quality assurance/control inspections for structural and miscellaneous steel welding activitiesPerform Certified Welding Inspection (CWI) services for commercial, industrial, and/or public works construction projectsReview approved construction drawings, welding procedures, shop drawings, and project specificationsCommunicate with welders, foremen, superintendents, project managers, engineers, and building inspectors regarding inspection findings and compliance issuesPrepare detailed inspection reports documenting compliance with contract documents, approved drawings, AWS codes, and applicable standardsMentor and train junior inspectors on welding inspection procedures, code requirements, and documentation standardsInspect and verify welding activities for compliance with approved plans, specifications, and applicable welding codesEnsure welding work is performed in accordance with contract documents, specifications, RFC plans, and approved welding proceduresIdentify and document non-conforming welding work and initiate corrective action procedures as requiredEnsure contractors comply with project specifications, approved welding procedures, and applicable AWS/IBC requirementsVerify welder qualifications and welding procedure specifications (WPS/PQR)Perform visual weld inspections in accordance with AWS D1.1 and other applicable codesCoordinate nondestructive testing (NDT) activities and review test resultsDocument weld discontinuities, deficiencies, and corrective actionsMaintain current AWS CWI certification and other required credentialsQualifications
