A/C Mechanic I — Job Description
Position Summary
The A/C Mechanic I performs basic installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of components used in campus heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems. Work includes chilled water systems, refrigeration units, air compressors, gas heaters, air driers, fume hoods, and pumps. Assignments typically require journeyman‐level HVAC skills.
This role interacts regularly with maintenance supervisors, building managers, and vendors, and may provide guidance to maintenance workers.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
HVAC Component Maintenance — Install, repair, replace, operate, maintain, calibrate, test, and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and plumbing components used in HVAC systems.Preventive Maintenance — Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on HVAC equipment.Controls Troubleshooting — Diagnose and repair pneumatic, electrical, and digital control systems.Parts & Materials Handling — Purchase and account for HVAC-related parts and materials as needed.Specialized Software — Operate specialized computer applications related to HVAC operations.Additional Duties — Perform other duties as assigned.Required Qualifications
Education: High school diploma, GED, or Vocational School Diploma.Experience: Minimum two years of job‐related experience.Preferred Qualifications

Position Summary
The Licensed Journeyman Plumber is responsible for performing advanced plumbing installations, diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance in residential and commercial environments. This role requires a valid Journeyman License, strong technical expertise, and the ability to work independently while maintaining compliance with state plumbing codes and company safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
Advanced Plumbing Installation — Install and configure pipes, fixtures, water heaters, valves, and related systems.Diagnostics & Troubleshooting — Identify issues, evaluate system performance, and determine corrective actions.Repair & Maintenance — Perform repairs on leaks, blockages, water heaters, pumps, and drainage systems.Code Compliance — Ensure all work meets state plumbing codes, safety regulations, and company standards.Customer Communication — Provide clear explanations of work performed, recommendations, and next steps.Team Collaboration — Coordinate with supervisors, apprentices, and other technicians to complete daily assignments.Documentation — Maintain accurate service records, job notes, and material usage logs.Qualifications
