    Position

    The Lead Instructor and Assistant Manager is a hybrid role combining hands-on teaching with day-to-day management responsibilities. This person will teach Snapology programs, manage part-time staff, support light marketing efforts, and act as the face of our business.

    Programs are conducted for children ages 2-14, with most classes catering to elementary-aged students. We are primarily a mobile business, offering classes, camps, workshops, and parties around the metro Atlanta area.


    Schedule and Hours

    30-36 hours per weekCore hours are Monday-Thursday, 11:00am-6:30pmMonday-Thursday includes teaching one 3-hour class and one 1-hour class each day, with built-in time for prep, travel, break down, and organizing materialsAdditional hours are scheduled on Fridays, Saturdays, or Sundays each week depending on events and administrative tasksDuring camp weeks (when schools are closed or on break), hours typically run Monday-Friday between the hours of 8:00am and 6:00pm. You may be asked to teach or manage during camp weeks depending on that week's needs.Pay and hours can increase as our business grows


    Starting Compensation

    $21-$25 per hour depending on experience


    Responsibilities

    Lead groups of up to 25 students through curriculum-guided activitiesInstruct and monitor students in the use of learning materials and equipmentManage student behavior in the classroom by establishing and enforcing rules and proceduresCreate a fun, engaging experience for the childrenEncourage and monitor the progress of individual students and use the information to adjust teaching strategiesAdequately prepare for each program by reading curriculum, watching training videos, and/or participating in face-to-face training sessionsManage part-time instructors, including scheduling and day-to-day supportSupport light marketing efforts for programs and eventsHandle inquiries from parents regarding Snapology programsEncourage students and parents to enroll in future Snapology programsParticipate in periodic Snapology training and staff meetings, as requiredCommunicate proactively with owners and managers on scheduling, staffing, and program needsTravel between locations daily, transporting materials and leading classes at our various metro Atlanta locations


    What We're Looking For

    Extremely reliable. Call outs are not sustainable, and absences need to be scheduled in advance.Strong ability to manage your own time and responsibilities without daily direct oversightExcellent attention to detail and organizational skillsA genuine sense of ownership over your role and the programs you runExceptional professionalism in school environments and with admin and familiesStrong classroom management skills, respect for children, and a love for STEM educationExperience and enthusiasm working with children who have special needsComfortable being the face of our business in the community


    Skills

    A clear Criminal and Child Abuse Registry screening2 or more years of experience working with children in a classroom environmentExperience managing or supervising othersEducation degree and teaching experience strongly preferredAbility to establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with othersAbility to communicate effectively orally and in writingProven ability to report to work on a regular and punctual basisHave reliable, insured transportation to conduct mobile classes around the east side of Atlanta


    This position is part-time, with the potential to grow as our business grows.
