    Job Summary:

    This position is responsible for providing flawless execution of events as the primary control interface. Your primary focus will be to plan, organize, and coordinate the activities required to perform the installation and support of our product and services in the field. You will act as the primary point of contact for our clients relating to the deployment of their installations. Additionally, you will work closely with the company’s National Support team, Local Operations teams, and other cross-functional team members to ensure orders are organized and configured to those customer’s requirements.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Offer input and expertise to sales and solutions team in support of their responses to RFPs and proposal requestsFacilitate in planning, organizing, and scheduling the resources and activities required to meet project deliverables.Aid in the pre-production planning through show completionAct as a customer point of contact before and for the duration of the event, maintaining ownership of project from start to finishBuild and manage a Project Plan that includes all requirements for the event.During the preparation phase, work closely with our clients, Sales Executives, Solutions Architects, Branch Operations and necessary third parties.Delegate tasks to support team throughout duration of projectTravel to and support of event production at various venues including hotels, schools, and convention centers.     Qualifications:

    3+ years’ experience in the Event Industry including "on-the-ground" Project ManagementMastery of either IT Technology Deployment, Temporary Audio-Visual Installations, or Tradeshow Technology Deployments.Computer and software proficiency as it relates to management of events.Strong problem-solving skills.Excellent interpersonal skills.Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.Ability to think and work independently and as a member of a team.Meets deadlines and prioritize duties effectively in high-pressure situations.Ability to work well with peers, management, sales teams, and clients.Considerable travel required with the ability to work evenings and weekends as needed.

    Job Summary:

    As an IT Field Technician with SmartSource, your primary responsibility will be providing “top-notch” customer service with a strong focus on tradeshow and corporate meeting environments. Duties include product configuration, prep and testing, transportation of equipment, on-site installation of audio visual and computer technology, networking, troubleshooting and technical support.

    Strong IT background with expertise in configuring, networking, and troubleshooting computers, printers, and related hardware. *Copier repair experience is a plus.*The ideal candidate will also be proficient at setting up and operating basic audio-visual components, be able to troubleshoot and correct operational glitches.Must have experience with “live events” – trade shows, corporate meetings, and conferences.Must have a “can-do" attitude, strong customer service focus, and effective communication and people interaction skills as this position interacts directly with our customers.Requires the ability to think and work independently, meet deadlines, and have extreme attention to detail, while working as a member of a team.Requires a valid driver’s license and the ability to drive company vehicles to area venues for client events.Requires loading/unloading of company vehicles.     About the Role

    The Business Development Executive is a sales hunter and strategic account builder responsible for driving new revenue growth across SmartSource's event, exhibit, AV, IT, and interactive technology solutions. This role is built for a consultative seller who can identify opportunity, engage executive-level stakeholders, uncover business needs, and position SmartSource as a trusted partner throughout the customer journey.

    The ideal candidate brings proven experience in live events, trade shows, exhibits, experiential marketing, event technology, AV production, or a related B2B services environment. This person is comfortable prospecting, managing complex sales cycles, responding to RFPs, developing proposals, building business cases, and collaborating across internal teams to move qualified opportunities from first conversation to signed agreement.

    This role reports to the VP of Sales, Event Solutions.

    Core ResponsibilitiesAct as a front-line representative of SmartSource through inbound and outbound outreach, creating meaningful connections that lead to long-term client partnerships.Actively pursue leads, prospect target accounts, qualify opportunities, and build a disciplined pipeline across enterprise, mid-market, agency, exhibit, and event clients.Engage key decision-makers and influencers through email, phone, social, in-person meetings, industry events, and relationship-driven business development.Run thoughtful discovery sessions to understand client goals, business challenges, event requirements, stakeholder priorities, and buying criteria.Align SmartSource solutions to client objectives by connecting event technology, AV production, exhibit support, IT, digital
