The ideal candidate will come with 4+ years of experience managing product launches and supporting cross-functional engineering teams. This is a full-time, onsite, year-long contract opportunity with the possibility of extension. Brief Summary:
The Project Manager will lead cross-functional project management for new product development and strategic initiatives. You will be the primary contact point between engineering, field service, technical support, and service operations teams, ensuring smooth product launches and service readiness.What You’ll Do:Lead and coordinate project teams through new product introductions and ongoing product sustainment, ensuring effective planning, communication, and risk managementCreate and maintain project schedules and budgets, providing regular updates on status and risks to stakeholdersCollaborate closely with engineering to drive service requirements into product design, impacting installation, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenanceManage a portfolio of projects, organize and run design review meetings, and ensure alignment across business unitsDevelop and review domestic and global service strategies throughout project execution and initial product launchDrive continuous improvement in project management and product development processesCommunicate effectively with internal and external partners, bridging different teams and approachesPlan for future business needs, including staff planning and organizational strategyProvide technical leadership and support best practices in engineering design and executionWhat You’ll Need:Education/Experience:Bachelor’s degree in engineering, scientific field, or equivalent experience4+ years of experience managing complex capital equipment projects (medical devices or robotics preferred)Proven record of product launches as a project manager for field service or service operationsExperience supporting field service and technical help organizationsFamiliarity with Design for Serviceability or Maintenance (DFS/DFM) best practicesExperience influencing product development to meet service requirementsSkills:Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skillsAbility to build and maintain professional relationships across teamsInnovative thinker who can quickly connect information and provide insightsComfortable presenting to technical and non-technical audiencesAble to manage multiple priorities and adapt quickly to changeExperience in regulated environments (CFR and ISO knowledge is a plus)PMP or other project management certification is a plusNice-to-Have Skills:Experience with medical device regulationsEnjoys fast-paced environments and juggling multiple projects
