We are looking for a rising professional eager to work with a fast-growing innovation leader in construction.

This site requires a valid and active guard card.

As Shift Leader, you will be responsible for overseeing Access Control Officers (ACOs) during assigned shifts on large projects or campus environments, with the goal of ensuring consistent operational performance, maintaining compliance with site requirements, and supporting workforce logistics, often serving as the primary contact point for both internal teams and external stakeholders.

Field-based roles, including Site Shift Lead positions, operate on a shift-based schedule. Shift times may fluctuate or change based on customer needs, job site requirements, and project schedules. Flexibility in work hours is required.

If you are a self-starting team player who puts the customer and internal stakeholders at the center of every decision, covers every detail, and wants to be part of a company that’s relentlessly pushing to transform how the world is built, you will flourish with Sitemetric.

    About Sitemetric

At Sitemetric, we turn technology into services that transform how the world is built.

This enables our customers to lead the change in critical areas of construction operations: workforce, safety, security, reporting, communications, logistics, and more.

We work closely with owners, general contractors, subcontractors, and construction workers to customize offerings to their needs, including digital onboarding, smart badging, real-time location systems, messaging and mass texting, integrated turnstiles, real-time reporting, emergency mustering, and more.

We currently serve as trusted partner to a growing number of the US’s largest, most forward-looking owners and contractors, working with them to ensure what we offer meets their evolving needs, with thousands of companies and workers already on the Sitemetric platform. Together, we are leading the change in how the world is built.

    Job Description

As Shift Leader, you will be responsible for overseeing Access Control Officers (ACOs) during assigned shifts on large projects or campus environments, reporting to the Site Logistics Leader or Area Logistics Leader, depending on project size.

Your job will be to ensure consistent operational performance, maintain compliance with site requirements, and support all workforce logistics. Broadly, the Shift Leader acts as the first line of leadership for ACOs and, when the Site Logistics Leader is not onsite, serves as the primary point of contact for both internal teams and external stakeholders. In this way the position mirrors many functions of the Site Logistics Leader but on a smaller scale, with focus on shift-level supervision and execution.

In the bigger picture, you will be responsible for cultivating relationships with customers and internal stakeholders and delivering the highest-quality service across construction environments that are continually changing, dynamic, and uncertain. This requires an obsessive commitment to understanding customers' and colleagues’ values, immediate and evolving needs, and preferences, to enable them to maximize success on each project and across their broader project portfolio and enterprise.

Overall, the role demands drive, grit, perseverance, and an abundance mindset to navigate and excel in the perpetually challenging environments where we and our customers operate.

     Key Responsibilities

This position involves the following responsibilities:

Shift Oversight and Compliance: Lead and supervise ACOs assigned to a specific shift or project within a campus. Ensure all ACOs are properly deployed, trained, and supported during their shifts. Monitor compliance with company policies, customer expectations, and site-specific protocols. Operational Leadership: Act as primary onsite leader when Site Logistics Leader is unavailable. Serve as escalation point for shift-level issues, including site access concerns, scheduling adjustments, and urgent workforce matters. Coordinate directly with Site Logistics Leader to relay shift updates, challenges, and performance concerns. Workforce Management: Verify attendance, time in/out compliance, and overall performance of shift personnel. Provide real-time coaching and support to ACOs, ensuring high standards of professionalism and customer service. Report performance concerns or disciplinary matters to Site Logistics Leader for follow-up. Customer & Stakeholder Interaction: Serve as point of contact for customer representatives during assigned shifts. Communicate site conditions, workforce movements, and shift-level concerns clearly and professionally. Support a positive relationship between Sitemetric, general contractors, and subcontractors onsite. Logistics & Administration: Assist in maintaining accurate records related to shift operations (attendance logs, incident reports, site access data). Ensure equipment and technology are functioning properly during the shift, escalating technical issues as needed. Support scheduling adjustments and shift coverage planning in coordination with Site Logistics Leader.

    Skills & Qualifications:

Prior experience as an Access Control Officer or in a similar leadership/supervisory role preferred. Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage conflict and resolve issues quickly in high-pressure environments. Demonstrated reliability, professionalism, and customer service orientation. Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights and weekends as required.

    Perks & Benefits

We offer a flexible, supportive work environment enabling our people to perform at their best and enhance the customer value and experience we provide. We want colleagues we can trust to make the right calls for Sitemetric and our customers and will empower you to achieve that without heavy bureaucracy, with focus on getting to optimal outcomes, together.

As part of the Sitemetric team, you'll receive:

Competitive pay based on experience and qualifications Bi-weekly payroll Health, dental and vision insurance for full time employees 401(k) eligibility Employee referral bonus plan includes $100 for each referred candidate that completes a minimum of 60 days of service with Sitemetric. Referring Employee must be active at the time of payment.  Note that bonus payments will be subject to applicable taxes.  Accrued paid sick leave for all employees, even part time employees Paid vacation, accruing at 40 hours per year, for full time employees Opportunities for career growth and professional development Supportive team culture that values clarity, reliability, and high performance Access to the right tools, technology, and support to do your best work

    Additional Information

The base pay for this position ranges from $50,000 to $55,000 per year. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and jobsite upon which work is being performed, and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, credentials, and experience.
