Overview: SimVentions, consistently voted one Virginia's Best Places to Work, is looking for an experienced professional to join our team! As a Red Team Penetration Tester IV, you will be responsible for leading and executing complex penetration testing events and conducting offensive cybersecurity operations for the U.S. Government and DoD systems. You will work collaboratively with Blue Team and Cybersecurity professionals to enhance overall cyber posture.
Position is contingent upon award of contract, anticipated in December of 2025.
Clearance: An ACTIVE Top Secret/SCI eligible clearance (IT Level I Tier 5 / Special-Sensitive Position) is required for this position. Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. US Citizenship is required to obtain a clearance.
Requirements:In-depth understanding of computer security, military system specifications, and DoD cybersecurity policiesStrong ability to communicate clearly and succinctly in written and oral presentationsMust possess one or more of the following DoD 8570.01-M CSSP Auditor certifications:CEHCySA+CISAGSNACFRPenTest+Must possess Offensive Security Certified Professional (OSCP) certificationMust possess one or more of the following certifications:Offensive Security Certified Expert (OSCE)Offensive Security Exploitation Expert (OSEE)Offensive Security Wireless Professional (OSWP)Responsibilities:Develop, modify, and utilize offensive security tools such as Metasploit, NMAP, Kali Linux, and Cobalt StrikeMimic threat actor behavior using TTPs aligned with frameworks like MITRE ATT&CKConduct assessments across multiple operating systems including Linux, Windows, and macOSPerform exploit development and identify zero-day or previously unknown vulnerabilitiesAnalyze, identify, and remediate gaps in offensive tools and development techniquesPerform development with at least two scripting or programming languages (Python, C++, Java, Rust, Assembly, C#, etc.) in support of exploit developmentPreferred Skills and Experience: Ten (10) years of full-time professional experience conducting penetration testing and/or offensive Cyber operations including demonstrated experience in each of the following areas:Developing and utilizing penetration tools such as Metasploit, NMAP, Kali Linux, Cobalt StrikeMimicking threat behavior and adversary emulationUtilizing various operating systems (Linux, Windows, MAC OS)Utilizing Active DirectoryPerforming exploit developmentIdentifying gaps in tools and development techniquesPerforming development with at least two scripting or programming languages (python, C++, Java, Rust, Assembly, C#, etc.)Education: Bachelor of Science in Information Systems, Bachelor of Science in Information Technology, Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, or Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering Compensation: Compensation at SimVentions is determined by a number of factors, including, but not limited to, the candidate's experience, education, training, security clearance, work location, skills, knowledge, and competencies, as well as alignment with our corporate compensation plan and contract specific requirements.
The projected annual compensation range for this position is $120,000 - $180,000 (USD). This estimate reflects the standard salary range for this position and is just one component of the total compensation package that SimVentions offers.
