This role offers a competitive annual salary plus a Sales Incentive Plan and varies based on specific responsibilities and geographic location. The starting annual salary will be determined based on the candidate's experience, qualifications, and/or skillset. Summary: The Distribution Sales Consultant drives local pull-through and co-sells along side national distributors and manages the regional distributor relationship. They leverage Signode's high-performance packaging systems including, consumables, machines, tools and services used in a broad range of packaging applications. This position is responsible for $10-12 million in sales volume. Essential Functions: * Providing the highest level of sales and service in their defined territory. * Promote and sell Signode's high-performance packaging system used in multiple industries to support the needs of the customer. * Sells through a consultative and solutions-driven method to provide a comprehensive packaging system for our customers. * Meet or exceed sales goals by gaining new distributors and increasing shelf space with current customers utilizing all Signode products and services. * Negotiate volume, contracts, and pricing agreements with principles and executives at key distribution accounts. * Build networks and relationships with industry leaders to advance Signode's opportunities within the channel. * Coordinate with logistics and customer service teams to ensure smooth order fulfillment and resolve delivery and inventory issues. * Own relationships of the regional distribution accounts. * Work closely with Operations, Product Management, Accounts Receivable and Finance teams. * Partner and collaborate with regional and national teams to align Signode's value proposition across the market. * Work with strategic account managers to pull through sales with key distributors. * Maintain up-to-date sales opportunities and customer records in accordance with company instructions. * Collaborate with other team members on account management, projects or department initiatives. * Arrange an effective Time and Territory Management Plan that maximizes sales efficiency. * Contribute information to the sales and marketing strategy by sharing distributor needs, market opportunities?and?competitive area information. * Document and present the Signode Value Proposition in the form of contribution to profit reports. * Ability to train distributor representatives on application and product knowledge. * Participate in Training Bachelor's degree preferred. Experience: * 3-5 years in sales, distribution channel experience preferred. Must live in the assigned territory; travel overnight - up to 65%. * Basic knowledge of Signode's products and applications to sell solutions that meet the customer's needs. * Strong mechanical and manufacturing aptitude. * Ability to use a CRM and read dashboards on PowerBi, with general MS Office proficiency. * Strong technology skills with social media knowledge. Starting hourly rate within this range will be determined based on the candidate's experience, qualifications, and/or skillset. Summary: This individual will be responsible for accurate customer payment applications by utilizing knowledge of company products, internal processes, and business relationships. This intermediate role will need to understand the full AR cycle. This position will focus on the application of cash payments made by Signode customers relating to their various contracts. Essential Functions: * Conduct daily collection calls to customers and sales representatives. * Communicate with both internal and external customers, while handling a consistent stream of inbound and outbound collection calls for their assigned portfolio, as well as from the collection queue. * Communicate, as needed, with top management at the customer level and internally. * Reconcile activity for a larger and higher profile territory of accounts that may include National Accounts, High Profile Accounts or Specialty type accounts. * Interface with customers, Sales Representatives, Sales Managers. Notify sales personnel of potential problem accounts, blocked orders and reconciliation issues such as short pays, short ships and tax issues. * Run aging reports and work reports to resolution for the assigned territory. This includes aging reports, unapplied cash reports, short pay reports, unapplied credit reports, aged items over 180 days and miscellaneous project related reports. * Make calls on a daily basis, contacting customers, working with the Sales Representatives and/or Managers and escalating problem accounts to departmental management. Provide weekly/monthly updates to management. * Provide daily reconciliation on accounts to ensure the accuracy and integrity of the A/R. These include, but are not limited to, analyzing and processing offsets and write off requests, pulling check copies to confirm correct application of payments, and working with the sales force on pricing and freight issues. * Identify and manage Credit Risk and assign credit limits. * Maintain credit exposure on accounts and request additional credit information as needed. * Evaluate credit information received to assign appropriate credit limits within established parameters. Summary: Manage the customer experience including processing and entering customer data in an accurate and timely manner; maintaining effective customer, sales and field service employee relationships; and striving for customer satisfaction by resolving issues in the most efficient and effective manner. Qualifications Education: High School Diploma or GED required. Associates degree in Business or related field preferred. Experience: * 2+ years of previous customer service experience, preferably in manufacturing and/or installation/maintenance/repair environment. * Excel experience (VLOOKUP's, Pivot Tables) * Ticketing system experience, a plus. * ERP experience, a plus, including quoting, order entry, and returns.
