Roger Wood Foods, a Sigma Company, is seeking a Raw Side Supervisor to lead and coordinate production activities involving grinding, mixing, stuffing, curing, and cooking smoked meat products, including hot dogs, smoked sausage, and other smoked meats.
This role is responsible for ensuring safe, efficient, high-quality production while fostering a culture of food safety, employee engagement, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise and coordinate raw side production operations, including batching, mixing, emulsifying, stuffing, curing, and cooking processes. Follow product formulas and specifications to ensure consistent quality and production standards.Partner with USDA and Quality Assurance personnel to maintain food safety and product quality standards.Collaborate with Human Resources to support staffing needs, positive employee relations, safety initiatives, policy compliance, and labor law adherence.Ensure proper operation and maintenance of production equipment.Train, coach, and develop team members on safe and efficient equipment operation and production processes.Manage employee performance through coaching, counseling, evaluations, and performance improvement efforts.Plan and direct associates in the execution of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).Oversee batching, grinding, mixing, emulsification, stuffing, curing, and smokehouse operations.Monitor product appearance, operating conditions, and equipment performance to ensure quality and efficiency.Promote and maintain a safe work environment through training, inspections, accident investigations, PPE compliance, and hazard correction.Maintain compliance with all Safety, GMP, SSOP, and SQF requirements.Perform other duties and assignments as needed to support business operations.Requirements
