Multiple positions - Performs medical laboratory tests, procedures, experiments and analysis to provide data for the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disease. Performs venous and capillary phlebotomy and processes patient samples to prepare for testing/shipping. Conducts chemical analyses of body fluids to determine the presence of normal and abnormal components as well as studies blood cells and their numbers and morphology. Performs blood group, type, and compatibility tests for transfusion purposes and conducts DOT urine drug collections and breath alcohols, as needed. Analyzes test results, records findings, and performs quality control studies to ensure accuracy of clinical data as well as performs decontamination of work areas. Performs routine preventative maintenance on assigned instruments and equipment according to established schedule and procedure. Verifies instrument functioning by checking and calibrating specific lab instruments and documents data. Records instrument logs for repairs, replacement, and needed maintenance of equipment. Assists in maintaining adequate supply inventory in all Lab work/storage areas and requests and stocks supplies. Assists in writing descriptions of routines necessary to perform tests, maintains knowledge of State and Federal regulations, and trains and oversees new employees, including MLTs and lab assistants. 40 hours per week with extended and "on call" hours when necessary.

Responsibilities:
· Take and record temperature, blood pressure, pulse, respiration rates, height, weight, and pulse oximetry.
· Check patient into treatment room and starts clinic chart with allergies, health history, vital signs, medication reconciliation and any other pertinent information as requested by the provider.
· Administer medications as ordered by the provider and noted by the provider or R.N/L.P.N. through a verbal order
· Apply compresses, ice bags, and dressings that are ordered by the provider
· Performs CLIA waived tests available within the RHC as ordered by the provider and noted by provider or R.N/L.P.N. (verbal order to be entered by licensed personnel only)
· Assist with scheduling referrals.
· Observe and report changes in the patient’s status
· Assist with setting up auxiliary equipment or procedures as necessary
· Answers phone calls, takes phone messages, removes voicemail messages from workgroup mailboxes and delivers them to R.N. or L.P.N to be addressed.
· Notify patients of normal test results as instructed by provider and document notification and patient response in the electronic medical record.
· Communicate information to patients as requested by providers when clinical judgment and knowledge is not required.

Requirements:
· Must Hold a High School diploma or GED
· Prefer healthcare experience.
· Must Hold an active 40-hour Medication Aid Certification through the state of Nebraska. All hired Medication Aids prior to 2022 will be grandfathered into this requirement.
· Current BLS certification.
· Must annually perform and pass competencies for each CLIA Waived test available in the clinic. This will be assessed by SRMC Lab staff.

Responsibilities:
· Provide direct hands-on resident care with all Activities of Daily Living (ADLs).
· Perform clerical, receptionist, and communication duties at Pole Creek Estates under the direction of nursing and medical staff.
· Utilize individual care plans of residents for the performance of resident care.
· Attend to individual needs of residents, which may include assistance with grooming, bathing, oral hygiene, feeding, incontinent care, toileting, colostomy care, and prosthetic appliance.
· Participate in creating and following through with the specific care plan of each resident, i.e. all ADLs, and post-mortem care. Observe and report any change in resident’s vital signs or status to nurse caring for resident or charge nurse.
· Serve and collect food trays, pass water, and assist residents with feeding who require assistance. Accurately record a resident’s intake and output.
· Assist in setting up auxiliary equipment (i.e. oxygen, suction, Gomco, nebulizers, K-Pads, etc.) under the direction of the supervising nurse. Keep resident rooms neat, clean, and free of obstructions. Apply compresses, ice bags, aqua-pads, and Ted hoses.
· Lift, move, and transport residents using proper body mechanics or lifting devices.
· Provide care that maintains each resident’s skin integrity to prevent pressure ulcers, skin tears, and other damage by changing incontinent residents, turning or repositioning immobile residents, and applying moisturizers to fragile skin and other areas.
· Perform and maintain documentation.
· Observe residents for changes in condition and behavior and promptly report these changes to appropriate licensed nursing personnel.
· Communicate and collaborate effectively with other health team members regarding resident condition, nursing plan of care, resident satisfaction needs, and recommendations for meeting identified outcomes.
· Communicate and interact effectively and tactfully with residents, visitors, families, peers, and supervisors.
