    Multiple positions - Performs medical laboratory tests, procedures, experiments and analysis to provide data for the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disease. Performs venous and capillary phlebotomy and processes patient samples to prepare for testing/shipping. Conducts chemical analyses of body fluids to determine the presence of normal and abnormal components as well as studies blood cells and their numbers and morphology. Performs blood group, type, and compatibility tests for transfusion purposes and conducts DOT urine drug collections and breath alcohols, as needed. Analyzes test results, records findings, and performs quality control studies to ensure accuracy of clinical data as well as performs decontamination of work areas. Performs routine preventative maintenance on assigned instruments and equipment according to established schedule and procedure. Verifies instrument functioning by checking and calibrating specific lab instruments and documents data. Records instrument logs for repairs, replacement, and needed maintenance of equipment. Assists in maintaining adequate supply inventory in all Lab work/storage areas and requests and stocks supplies. Assists in writing descriptions of routines necessary to perform tests, maintains knowledge of State and Federal regulations, and trains and oversees new employees, including MLTs and lab assistants. 40 hours per week with extended and "on call" hours when necessary.

Care for patients in pre-op teachings, pre-op holdings, and PACU. Restock blanket warmer, fluid warmer, patient bays, and complete daily supply order for PACU as needed. Assist in making and finalizing charts as needed. Assist with courtesy follow-up calls. The completion of the follow-up calls will be documented in the EMR. Assist with daily PACU charges to ensure completion. Demonstrate skills for the elements involved in first and secondary PACU recovery. Collect, evaluate, analyze, document, and prioritize pertinent patient data, identifying the full range of patient needs physical, psycho-social, spiritual, educational, and discharge. Conduct and document on patients through the EMR. Assist in making daily assignments as indicated for pre-op holding, recovery room, and pre-op teachings. Assist in adjusting schedule changes such as add-on cases, time changes, etc. Communicate concerns of patient care with Director of Surgery, Surgery Manager, and PACU Charge Nurse. Communicate effectively between patient, patients family, physicians, and other staff members of the healthcare team. Coordinate and evaluate patients care to ensure continuity. Demonstrate the completion of the PACU log book and discharge sheet. Identify and recognize abnormal symptoms/changes in patients condition, established priorities, and take appropriate action. Informs and involves Director of Surgery regarding patient care issues in a timely and appropriate manner. Promote and ensure patient safety in performance of all responsibilities. Possess a working knowledge of medications and their correct administration, along with the signs and symptoms of side effects. Know and follow the 5 Rs of administration medications.     · Provide care that maintains each resident’s skin integrity to prevent pressure ulcers, skin tears, and other damage by changing incontinent residents, turning or repositioning immobile residents, and applying moisturizers to fragile skin and other areas.

    · Perform and maintain documentation.

    · Observe residents for changes in condition and behavior and promptly report these changes to appropriate licensed nursing personnel.

    · Communicate and collaborate effectively with other health team members regarding resident condition, nursing plan of care, resident satisfaction needs, and recommendations for meeting identified outcomes.

    · Communicate and interact effectively and tactfully with residents, visitors, families, peers, and supervisors.

    · Promote and ensure resident safety in performance of all responsibilities.

    Responsibilities:

    · Answer telephone calls and assess urgency of call.

    · Operate specialized equipment such as multi-line phones, copiers, fax machines, printers, signature pads, and scanners.

    · Work and maintain assigned work queues accurately and in a timely manner.

    · Turn off all equipment at end of day.
