    Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated Consultant to join our Financial Services Consulting practice as a Forward Deployed Business Analyst (FDBA). Whether your expertise lies in wealth and asset management, capital markets, corporate banking, risk and compliance or other areas in financial services, we want to hear from you.

This is not a traditional Business Analyst role. As a FDBA, you will be embedded with client teams to own business outcomes, not just document requirements. You will leverage data, analytics and AI as a core part of your workflow to move faster, think deeper , and deliver smarter solutions and meaningful transformation across financial services organizations.

You will act as a strategic advisor, AI operator , and execution partner, using AI to eliminate administrative work and focus your time on enhanced decision making, problem-solving, stakeholder alignment, operational efficiency and solution design.

    Responsibilities:

AI-Enabled Consulting Delivery: Apply traditional consulting tools and emerging AI-enabled, no-code, low-code, automation, and analytics platforms to accelerate research, analysis, documentation, prototyping, process mapping, stakeholder alignment, and delivery execution while including defining agent responsibilities, decision boundaries, escalation paths, and human-in-the-loop controls to ensure safe, reliable, and compliant operation within financial services environments.

Client Engagement & Delivery: Work directly with client business, operations, product, data, and technology teams to understand strategic objectives, operational challenges, technical constraints, stakeholder priorities, and desired business outcomes.

Strategic Problem Solving: Assess current-state processes, systems, data flows, risks, dependencies, and pain points to identify root causes, evaluate business impacts, and help define the design and implementation of strategic initiatives that incorporate both traditional and AI-enabled strategic solutions (e.g., operating model transformation, system implementations, process optimization)

Technical Business Analysis: Translate business needs into clear functional requirements, user stories, process flows, data requirements, business rules, acceptance criteria, and solution documentation that bridge business stakeholders and technical delivery teams with the support of internal and client-approved AI solutions.

Solution Design & Implementation Support: Partner with product owners, engineers, architects, data teams, and client stakeholders to support solution design system implementation, workflow optimization, integration planning, UAT, validation, and implementation readiness across front, middle, and back-office platforms including .targeted use cases of AI- or agent-enabled solutions.

Workstream Ownership & Execution: Own assigned tasks and deliverables by managing timelines, tracking risks, issues, decisions, and dependencies, proactively communicating progress, and helping drive initiatives from analysis through execution.

Client-Ready Communication & Deliverables: Prepare structured, accurate, and polished materials, including presentations, executive summaries, business cases, impact assessments, process documentation, status reports, meeting outputs, and stakeholder communications for internal teams, client stakeholders, and senior leaders.

Internal Firm Support: Support proposals and business development initiatives, including client presentations and thought leadership, contributing perspectives on digital, data, and AI trends within financial services.

    Qualifications

These qualifications are intended to reflect what may help someone succeed as a Consultant at Sia. We recognize that candidates may not meet every qualification listed, and we encourage you to apply if you are excited about the role, eager to learn, and believe you can contribute to our teams and clients.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, AI Engineering & Computing, Computer Science, Data Science, Financial Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.

Relevant Experience: Recent graduate or early-career candidate with up to 2 years of post-graduate experience, including internships, academic projects, or work experience demonstrating business problem-solving, analytical thinking, professional communication, AI-enabled ways of working, and a proactive, forward-deployed BA mindset; experience in financial services or management consulting is preferred.

AI-Enabled Technical Proficiency: Foundational ability to leverage AI/GenAI tools, prompt engineering, and modern productivity platforms to accelerate business analysis, requirements gathering, process documentation, research, testing support, and stakeholder-ready deliverables, while applying sound judgment to validate and improve AI-generated outputs through responsible AI governance concepts.

Traditional Technical Proficiency: Ability to use Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Visio, JIRA / Confluence, Microsoft PowerBI /, Tableau, SQL and other related tools to support advanced data analysis, develop insights and analytics, and create clear, effective presentations and communications.

Consulting Skillset: Strong communication skills, analytical thinking, attention to detail, ownership, teamwork, and intellectual curiosity, with the ability to work closely with business and technology stakeholders, synthesize ambiguity, ask thoughtful questions, identify gaps, and help drive work forward in a fast-paced, client-facing environment.

Financial Services Interest and Knowledge: Foundational understanding of, or demonstrated interest in, the financial services industry, including areas such as products, operations, regulatory requirements, technology, and business processes.
