    The Warehouse Associate/ Order Picker plays a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of products through the warehouse. This position is responsible for accurately selecting and preparing customer orders, packaging items securely, and ensuring shipments meet company quality and accuracy standards. The Order Picker helps maintain organized inventory levels, supports timely order fulfillment, and contributes to a safe, clean, and productive work environment. This role is essential in delivering an excellent customer experience by ensuring every order is complete, accurate, and ready to ship on time.


    Shift: Monday-Friday 8:30am-5pm


    Key Accountabilities as an Order Picker:

    Accurately pick and pull customer orders based on pick tickets or order sheetsPrepare and package products securely and efficiently for shipmentEnsure correct quantities, product types, and labeling on all outgoing ordersInspect items for quality and report any damaged or missing inventory to supervisorMaintain a clean and organized work area to ensure safe and efficient operationsFollow company procedures to meet quality standards and customer requirementsUse warehouse equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks, scanners) safely and responsiblyWork quickly and efficiently to meet daily picking and packing quotasCollaborate with team members and communicate effectively to resolve order or inventory issues


    Key Accountabilities as Warehouse Associate (cross trained in all functions):

    Receiving: Unload inbound freight using forklift, pallet jack or by hand. Inspect product, document, and record inventory transactions. Work with the purchasing department to ensure the vendor inventory meets company standards. Stocking: Accurately place product in proper locations, record part numbers and quantities in system. Verify location accuracy and update locations as needed. Perform inventory counts as needed.Order Fulfillment/ Packaging: Pull products quickly and accurately and prepare orders for shipping; accurately packages product in appropriate quantities and containers, ensure product meets company standards to meet customer requirements.Shipping: Ensure customer receives correct product according to order specifications within requested timeframe. Accurately process orders based on customer shipping instructions. Contact carriers to schedule shipments. Prepare and print shipping documents. Minimize wait/load times by quickly and accurately loading production onto trucks. Use of Powered MachineryOperate powered machines to move materials around the warehouse including but not limited to sit-down forklifts, stand-up forklifts, reach trucks, riding pallet jacks, scissor lifts, manual pallet jacks, compactors, stretch wrapping machines, etc.Other: Ensure cleanliness and organization of work areas, racking, aisles, docks (inside and outside), break/locker areas, common spaces, and other housekeeping duties.Continually look for ways to improve processes and systems to make them more efficient and effective.Responsible for working safely at all times and providing a safe work environment for all employees.Comply with quality and safety standards.Comply with all company policies and procedures.Regularly communicate with other internal departments regarding product information, customer requirements or vendor information.May assist the production team in manufacturing custom packaging products, including machine operating and assembly as needed.Other duties as assigned


    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

    High School diploma or GED preferred.Ability to read, interpret and comprehend documents such as training instructions, shipping tickets, procedure manuals, etc. at a fast pace. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and efficiently.Basic level computer skills.Good written and verbal communication.Attention to detail.Ability to pass and maintain Forklift certification. Forklift experience preferred.Previous material handling or warehouse experience preferred.


    Work Environment

    Must be able to stand, bend, stoop, reach and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.Work is performed in a warehouse environment (heated only).Temperature fluctuations with dock doors opening and closing.See complete Job Analysis for details.

    Salary Transparency

    The pay range for this position is $20-22/hour. Please note that the higher end of the pay range is reserved for candidates with extensive experience and qualifications that exceed the requirements of the role. Most new hires typically start at the beginning of the pay range, with opportunities for growth and increases based on performance and tenure.

    The Warehouse Lead will support the Distribution Supervisor by providing direction and support for daily tasks to other Warehouse Associates, mainly in receiving. The lead will also support daily work by performing the job duties of a Warehouse Associate routinely as needed.


    Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:30am - 5pm


    Key Accountabilities:

    Perform job duties of Warehouse AssociatesProficiently perform all warehouse tasks that include shipping, receiving, picking, put away, loading, and inventory counts. Understand and follow warehouse processes, work instructions, and guidelines.Identify and resolve general problems concerning warehouse process and procedures related to picking, put away, loading, shipping, receiving, inventory, equipment, and materials.Maintain a clean and safe work area; oversee all warehouse housekeeping tasks. Assist in performing general maintenance and cleaning of equipment.Follow all quality and safety standards.May be asked to assist production as needed. Plan and organize tasks and staff to ensure safety, efficiency and accuracy.Identify issues that may lead to safety hazards, inaccurate inventory, and inefficiencies and take prompt corrective action to resolve such issues. Provide training and direction to employees to ensure processes and expectations are understood. Respond to questions and concerns from employees, maintain open communication and foster a positive work environment. Assist Supervisor by monitoring, auditing, and enforcing procedures related to safety, quality, accuracy, and productivity. Recommend continuous improvements to the department and workflow.Independently initiate approved improvements within the department. Ability to regularly lift 20 lbs and occasionally lift up to 50 lbsAbility to perform measurements using rulers and tape measures and perform basic arithmetic.Ability to read, interpret and explain production and warehouse paperwork, work instructions and guidelines to a diverse workforce.Attention to detail.Ability to pass and maintain Forklift certification. Prior Forklift experience a must, stand up preferred.Basic level computer skills, experience using of MRP/ERP preferred.Ability to work with a diverse group of people.
