    Senior Project Manager at Shiel Sexton

    Senior Project Manager (SPM) provides team leadership to oversee the total construction efforts; providing administrative and technical direction to ensure each project is constructed in accordance with design, budget, schedule, and specifications. Primary responsibilities include total responsibility for a project, from soliciting, developing, and evaluating big packages, thru subcontract award, construction and close out. The SPM is also responsible for managing all aspects of value engineering and preconstruction activities, as well as overseeing a team and executing all aspects of a successful construction project and close outs. PMs are experienced, reliable, and professional leaders who have differentiated themselves by consistently demonstrating their ability to direct successful outcomes on challenging projects.

    Qualifications

    This is a position for individuals with ten (10) to twelve (12) years’ experience in commercial construction or qualified experience including minimum 12 months experience in a Project Manager II or equivalent level role; Demonstrated action toward mastery of skills required to manage business process business development, and strategic goals.

    Position Summary

    The Superintendent is responsible for leading and coordinating all field operations related to the installation of exterior metal panel systems, architectural cladding, and other building envelope components.     Responsibilities

    Qualifications

    The Quality Assurance Technician will have a bachelors dergree in constrcution management, or architectural engineering. The selected person will work out of the Noblesville, Indiana office but will be required to travel to project sites to review substrate acceptance, metal panel system work progress, testing, and document the installation of building envelope systems to prevent air leakage, water infiltration, and cladding system failures. The QA Technician will work closely with the BEC team and metal panel system installation crews to verify that materials (Exterior substrate framing, sheathing, Air/Vapor barrier systems, Roofing systems, sealants, and curtan wall systems) are in compliance with, manufacturer specifications and construction documents.

    Key Responsibilities

    Field Inspections & Observations: Perform routine, on-site, in-progress inspections of exterior wall cladding systems, sheathing, air barriers, and roofing system continuity to confirm compliance with approved contract details and specifications.Performance Testing: Help coordinate, witness and document wall cladding system air and water infilltration performance tests, (e.g., AAMA 501.2),Documentation & Reporting: Prepare detailed, quality assurance field reports with photographic documentation of both compliant and non-compliant work.Deficiency Management: Identify, document, and track installation defects and non-conformities; issue Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and monitor corrective actions.Material Verification: Inspect incoming materials to ensure they are properly stored and meet approved submittal requirements.QA Collaboration: Coordinate with superintendents, subcontractors, and clients to resolve quality issues and provide technical guidance on installation procedures.     Required Qualifications & Skills

    Project Manager I at Shiel Sexton

    The Project Manager I (PM1) is responsible for leading projects and supervising the construction team, securing subcontracts, purchasing, monthly invoicing, approving subcontractor payments, weekly progress meetings as well as ensuring quality, production, and safety throughout the construction process. This position plays an integral part of the organization and lead for construction project management team. The PM1 acts in a fundamental leadership role to the provide administrative oversight, secure safety, and manage all operations functions of the project management team.

    Qualifications

    This is a position for individuals with five (5) to seven (7) years’ experience in commercial construction or qualified experience including minimum 12 months experience in an Assistant Project Manager or equivalent level role; Demonstrated mastery of managing all project finances, actively working toward knowledge of business development practices.

    Job Summary

    We are looking for a reliable Fabrication Assitant to assist our team in building aluminum storefronts and glass walls. In this role, you will help lead fabricators by moving materials, cutting metal, using hand tools, and keeping the shop organized. This is an entry-level position where you will learn the trade and build hands-on skills in commercial glass and metal fabrication.

     

    Daily Tasks

    Assisting the Team

    Help lead fabricators assemble aluminum frames, doors, and glass systems.Use tape measures and basic tools to mark and prepare metal for cutting.Clean and deburr metal after it is cut to make sure edges are smooth.Put together parts by installing rubber gaskets, weather stripping, and basic hardware.Moving & Organizing MaterialsLoad and unload trucks bringing in raw aluminum, glass, and hardware shipments.Organize metal racks and move heavy materials around the shop floor safely.Wrap and pack finished products so they do not get scratched or damaged during delivery.

     

    Shop Cleanup

    Clean work areas daily by sweeping up metal shavings and throwing away scrap.Put away tools at the end of every shift so the shop stays organized.Follow safety rules including wearing safety glasses, steel-toe boots, and ear protection.

     

    Requirements

    Experience: No exact experience required, but working in construction, warehousing, or manufacturing is a plus.Math Skills: Must know how to read a standard tape measure accurately down to the fraction.Tool Skills: Comfort using basic hand tools, power drills, and saws.Physical Strength: Able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs regularly.Attitude: Reliable, on time, and willing to listen and learn from senior team members.
