    Do you enjoy managing multiple projects, solving problems, and working directly with customers? Sheridan is looking for an Account Planner to serve as the primary connection between our customers and our manufacturing team. In this role, you'll ensure projects move smoothly from order entry through production and final delivery while providing exceptional customer service every step of the way.

    What You'll Do

    As an Account Planner, you'll coordinate customer projects from start to finish by:

    Serving as the primary point of contact for assigned customer accounts. Gathering project requirements and translating them into detailed production, shipping, and mailing instructions. Coordinating with production, scheduling, purchasing, shipping, and outside vendors to ensure projects stay on schedule. Communicating regularly with customers to provide updates, answer questions, and manage changes. Reviewing job specifications for accuracy before production begins. Monitoring jobs throughout production to ensure quality, timelines, and customer expectations are met. Working with internal teams to troubleshoot issues, identify root causes, and develop solutions. Supporting estimating, special projects, and production planning as needed. Mentoring less experienced Account Planners and assisting with process improvements.

    What We're Looking For

    We're seeking someone who is:

    Highly organized and able to manage multiple priorities. Customer-focused with excellent communication skills. A strong problem solver who enjoys finding practical solutions. Comfortable working with detailed specifications and production processes. Able to build strong working relationships across departments. Self-motivated with the ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment.

    Qualifications

    High school diploma or equivalent required. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong analytical, organizational, and time management abilities. Ability to adapt in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Availability to work weekends and holidays as business needs require. Strong Microsoft Office skills.

    Preferred

    5-6 years of experience in manufacturing, print production, customer service, project coordination, or a related administrative/operations role. Additional technical training or certifications.

    Physical Requirements

    Primarily desk-based work using a computer. Must be able to safely navigate the print production floor and other departments as needed. Ability to occasionally lift up to 15 pounds.

    Job Summary:  

    Load rolls of paper onto automatic splicing unit of web offset printing press. Future growth opportunity with a career path leading toward Press Assistant Operator and/or Press Operator.

     

    Duties/Responsibilities:  

    Inspect rolls of paper for blemishes or tears and cuts away damaged area with knife. Roll paper into loading position on automatic splicer, insert shaft of automatic splicer through roll core, secure holding chucks of automatic splicer to shaft ends, and thread paper through press components to prepare press for printing. Apply adhesive strip to backup roll and insert backup roll onto automatic splicing unit of press to prepare paper for automatic splicing. Remove roll of leftover paper from press after automatic splicing. May operate mechanical truck to transport rolls of paper to press area. May assist with some of the make-ready tasks associated with the type of press operated such as hanging plates, examining plates, prepping and installing blankets, adjusting tension etc. May clean press and clean and install press components to maintain press in working order. May prepare and Prepares and loads flat stock into a sheet fed press. Performs other related duties and participates in special projects as assigned.

     

    Basic Qualifications:  

    General knowledge of offset presswork procedures and materials. (preferred) Reasoning: Apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in or from standardized situations Mathmatics: Able to read, copy and record figures. May involve simple addition and subtraction. Able to follow simple work instructions. Recognize meanings of two or three syllable words. Able to compare similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers. Able to speak simple sentences, using normal word order, and present and past tenses. A team player who works well with others.

     

    Desired Skills and Abilities:

    Ability to read and follow job specifications to determine materials needed to run the job successfully. Ability to make adjustments to auto splicer. Knowledge to load paper and prepare slice for continuous operation of the press. Knowledge of materials and requirements for press.

     

    Physical Requirements  

    Job requires ability to exert in excess of 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or in excess of 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or in excess of 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Constantly reaching, reaching upwards, handling Frequently Lifting, carrying, standing, walking, stooping Frequently in proximity to moving parts and vibration Must be able to tolerate loud noise levels and occasional exposure to atmospheric conditions and other environmental factors. Constant use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required due to the nature of the work environment.
