Responsibilities
Maintenance Electrician
Repairs, installs, replaces and tests electrical circuits, equipment, PLC components, and appliances by using hand tools and testing instruments
Inspects and tests electrical equipment, lighting, signal, communication, and power circuits
Isolates defects in wiring, switches, motors and other electrical equipment using instruments such as ammeters, ohmmeters, and voltmeters
Replaces faulty switches, sockets, and other elements of electrical systems as needed, and has the ability to dismantle electrical machinery and replace defective electrical or mechanical parts such as gears, brushes and armatures
Has the ability to test and complete circuits according to blueprint and diagram specifications
Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures and inspects completed work for conformance with requirements of existing building and safety codes
Must be able to repair or replace all electrical devices including, but not limited to: breaker panels, motor starters, heaters, fuses, lights, AC drives, motors, electrical switches, etc. – all in accordance with state and federal codes, including company policies and procedures
Must be able to perform construction work such as running conduits, pulling wire, installing switches, breaker panels, etc. – as needed to supply power to plant electrical apparatus
Must be able to maintain a log (work sheet) of equipment repairs and problems. A list of electrical maintenance that needs to be done must also be kept
• Replaces all like-for-like electrical components and ensures their proper setup.
• Troubleshoots some complex electrical issues using appropriate tools and techniques.
• Requires assistance for intricate device replacement setup.
Qualifications
3 - 5 years Manufacturing Maintenance Electrical experience preferred
Must have PLC experience.
Must know how to use VOM Meter, Megger, AMP Meter and Chart Recorder
Sound working knowledge of Electrical Safe Work Practices; AC and DC Electrical Theory; reading/creating electrical prints and control schematics; motor control; personal computer hardware and software; computer networks; pneumatic and hydraulic valves; photo eyes; proximity sensors; limit switches; breakers & fuses.
Must have basic electric motor repair, electrical construction, trouble shooting skills.
Must have some electrical schematic and blueprint reading skills.
Must know the operation of a motor starter and how to rebuild
Must have some understanding of AC drive motor controllers.

The Maintenance Manager oversees the work management process in providing both a reactive and proactive, multi-skilled maintenance service on all operational equipment. Responsible for planned schedululing creation and overseeing the adherence and timely completion of work carried out ensuring that Health, Safety and Environmental requirements are adhered to. Implements technical best practices and precision maintenance standards. Manages department budget, maintenance spend and MRO storeroom. Direct reports are the Maintenance Supervisors, Maintenance Planner/Scheduler, Storeroom Clerk, and the MRO Purchaser. Works with the leadership team to achieve productivity goals, identify continuous improvement opportunities, and implement capital projects.

Develops and implements a long-range strategic improvement maintenance plan
· Tracks, analyzes and improves key maintenance parameters such as asset utilization, maintenance cost, PM compliance, schedule compliance, and other performance indicators outlined by the Work Management Process.
· Oversees all contract / outsourced maintenance.
· Participates in setting up the yearly maintenance budget.
· Ensures Maintenance Supervisor responds to all emergency and urgent work.
· Ensures plant equipment critical spares are maintained at minimum levels and manages purchase order backlog.
· Performs problem analysis and develops conceptual ideas into working units for resolution
· Determines skill gaps within the department and defines training to bridge the gaps
· Participates in objective setting; plans development and reviews plant performance
· Prepares reports, analyzes data and makes recommendations for improving operations and solving maintenance related problems.
· Conducts employee training to improve employees’ expertise and knowledge in equipment maintenance, work safety procedures, and teamwork.
· Provides feedback to employees on individual performance standards relating to the department KPI’s in a timely and efficient manner.
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or related field preferred
5-7 years of experience as a Maintenance Manager in a manufacturing and/or plant environment
