    Job Summary: The Outside Sales Representative – Safety & Risk Management is responsible for developing new business opportunities and delivering consultative solutions that help organizations improve workplace safety and comply with OSHA and DOT regulations.


    Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

    Prospecting, cold calling, and scheduling appointmentsManage sales processes and presentations with business ownersWork with current Sheakley partnersMaintain positive client relationshipsPromote and educate employers on the need for creating safer work environmentsComplete required sales paperwork in a timely manner and finalize new client contractsAccomplish sales goals and quotas established by managementLocal travel throughout the assigned market area


    Skills, Specialized Knowledge and Abilities:

    Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skillsOpen minded and coachableProfessional appearance and demeanorAbility to handle sensitive information and maintain a high level of confidentialityEffective problem-solving and critical thinking abilitiesOrganization, attention to detail, flexibility and strong ability to multi-taskAbility to work without direct supervision and demonstrate considerable initiative


    Education and Experience:

    Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience preferredWorking knowledge of OSHA and DOT regulations preferredFormal sales training (e.g., PSS or similar) is a plus


    Requirements:

    2+ years of successful B2B sales experience (consultative or solution-based sales preferred)Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targetsExperience selling to small and mid-sized businesses preferredStrong communication, presentation, and organizational skillsAbility to build relationships and generate referralsSelf-motivated with a strong work ethic and ability to work independentlyExperience selling complex or intangible services is a plus
