The Opportunity The unsung superheroes are those who keep guests safe and the property secure. Our Engineers protect and maintain the hotel itself, the property it's on, and the surrounding grounds. They attend to daily maintenance and repairs, from HVAC problem-solving to dry wall repair. Generally, engineers are the people who save the day, and who also ensures there is rarely, if ever, a day that needs saving. We're currently seeking an affable, reliable Engineer to keep things running smoothly behind the scenes. And when you're engaging with guests, it's all about being accommodating, patient, and warm while resolving the issue as quickly and seamlessly as possible. Main Duties: The Engineer I works effectively as part of the Engineering department strive to maximize guest engagement, achieve operational excellence, and uphold brand standards. The Engineer Is are responsible for maintaining the building, grounds and physical plant with particular attention towards safety, security and asset protection. * Respond and attend to guest and in house requests for repair, maintenance, and preventative maintenance. Resolve general plumbing issues such as unclogging drains, plunging toilets, and repairing leaky spigots, plumbing lines, pumps, and faucets. Perform general HVAC trouble shooting and repairs. * Perform miscellaneous repairs such as maintenance on equipment, dry wall repair, vinyl wall covering installation/replacement throughout hotel area. * Perform preventative maintenance on tools and equipment (electrical, mechanical, vacuums, televisions), including cleaning, troubleshooting and lubrication. * Troubleshoot and repair kitchen equipment. * Maintain daily logs of operation and maintenance. * Communicate with leaders/team members when necessary to resolve maintenance issues. * Maintain accurate logs and records as required and ensure regulatory compliance to facility regulations and safety standards and procedures are followed; report maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries; and complete safety training and certifications. * Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional, maintain confidentiality of proprietary information, and protect company assets. * Perform carpentry work as directed/needed. * Perform swimming pool maintenance and fitness equipment repairs. * Use computer programs/handheld devices for communication purposes. * Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards, anticipate and address guests' service needs, and assist individuals with disabilities. * Speak with others using clear and professional language. * Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others and listen and respond appropriately to the concerns of other team members. * Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards. * Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping. Be able to perform manual material handling of 50lbs individually or with assistance of a co-worker when over 50lbs if necessary. * Visually inspect tools, equipment, and/or machines. * Move up and down stairs, service ramps, and/or ladder. Grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of varying size and weight. Use lift in order to reach high areas throughout property when necessary. Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Leaders. * Accountable for understanding and usage of KYC system. Completing work orders and tasks in an efficient manner as they are assigned to optimize departmental performance. * Maintain the physical plant including equipment, refrigeration, HVAC, plumbing, water treatment, electrical and life safety systems and make repairs to such equipment if necessary. * Participate in preventative maintenance program to perform services include painting, repair work, renovations and the replacement of furniture and equipment.  Communicate areas that need attention to staff and follow-up to ensure understanding. * Learn how to operate all functional equipment for all seasons and assist with upcoming storms. POSITION OVERVIEW Work effectively as part of the housekeeping service team to provide efficient and courteous service. Primarily responsible for, but not limited to, housekeeping service areas on guest floors, ensuring hotel's standards of cleanliness; providing linen supplies for room attendants and stocking floor closets; delivering and retrieving items requested by guests and supervisors; and accounting for all stocks required by housekeeping operations and reporting to Housekeeping Manager any shortage. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES * Perform general cleaning duties. * Deliver extra beds and cots to guest rooms. * Strip guest rooms. * Clean floors, shampoo carpets and furniture as needed. * Occasionally move or rearrange guest furniture. * Assist with unloading and storing of orders from the storeroom. * Dispose of trash as needed following recycling procedures. * Operate cart through guest floors to assigned rooms. * Deliver guest and housekeeping requests in timely manner. Input real-time work orders via KYC and any guest concerns during interaction. Convey with clarity in KYC any and all guest opportunities. * Following proper Lost & Found procedures to ensure lost items are immediately reported when found. * Check chemical dispensers and refill. * Remove in room dining service trays from guest floor landings to proper designated area. * Speak with others using clear and professional language. * Be a team player by supporting team to reach common goals and know, comply with, and enforce all hotel and departmental standards, policies, and procedures. * Multi-task in special projects. * Ensure all equipment and facilities are functioning properly and report any malfunctions to Housekeeping Supervisors/Managers. * Take inventory of bathroom and bedroom amenities, toilet paper, other cleaning supplies and report the shortage to Housekeeping Manager . * Perform any other reasonable projects and duties as requested by the leadership team. * Consistently always conduct oneself in a professional manner and work professionally with colleagues and team leaders with a team minded approach. * Attend pre-shift meetings to learn shift details, including property and guest expectations.
