Job Title: Project Manager – Construction

Position Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Project Manager with 3–5 years of experience in Project Management, related to Construction. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage all phases of utility construction projects, including storm, water, and sewer infrastructureDevelop project schedules, budgets, and work plansCoordinate with field teams, subcontractors, engineers, and clientsMonitor project progress and adjust plans as needed to meet deadlines and budget constraintsEnsure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as safety standardsReview and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contractsTrack project costs, prepare forecasts, and manage change ordersConduct site visits to ensure quality control and adherence to project requirementsLead project meetings and provide regular updates to stakeholdersIdentify risks and implement mitigation strategiesQualifications:
3–5 years of project management experience in construction (storm, water, sewer preferred) Understanding of civil construction practices and utility installation methods (Using “Strong” in the wording may intimidate someone on the lower end of experience, while they may be someone we could invest in training)Ability to read and interpret engineering plans and specificationsExperience with project management software and scheduling tools (e.g., MS Project, Procore, or similar)Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skillsKnowledge of permitting processes and regulatory requirementsBachelor’s degree in construction management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience) Experience with government contracting is preferredSkills & Competencies:

The General Laborer supports construction crews in the installation, repair, and maintenance of storm drainage, water, and sewer systems. This role involves manual labor, site preparation, and assisting equipment operators and skilled trades to ensure projects are completed safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with installation of storm drains, water mains, and sewer linesDig trenches, backfill excavations, and compact soil using hand tools or equipmentLoad and unload materials, tools, and equipmentSupport pipe laying, alignment, and connection activitiesMaintain job site cleanliness and organizationDirect traffic and assist with site safety setup (cones, barricades, signage)Work around heavy equipment such as excavators, loaders, and trenchersFollow blueprints, grade stakes, and supervisor instructionsAdhere to all OSHA and company safety regulationsPerform other duties as assigned by the crew leaderRequired Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)Ability to perform physically demanding work (lifting 50+ lbs, digging, standing for long periods)Basic knowledge of construction tools and safety practicesReliable transportation to job sitesAbility to work outdoors in various weather conditionsPreferred Qualifications

Pre-Estimate Phase
Join design review meetings to help align scope, budget, and buildability.; Plan estimating strategies and assess project risks; Review drawings and proposals to define project scope.
Estimate Development
preparing detailed cost estimates and general conditions.; Create accurate estimates at various design stages.; Coordinate site visits and pre-bid meetings.; Review schedules and recommend value engineering solutions.; Identify risks and support in developing winning bid strategies.
Subcontractor Management
Build and maintain strong subcontractor relationships. Ensure fair and competitive bidding with qualified subs. Lead scope reviews and recommend subcontractor selections. Develop diversity and inclusion plans for subcontractor participation on public sector projects.
Post-Estimate Support
Help finalize project budgets and ensure they meet company standards. Assist in subcontractor selection and risk management. Participate in lessons learned to improve future estimates. Support project teams with changes and cost tracking during construction.
