    A Day in the Life of a Carpenter at SERVPRO


    No two days are exactly the same at SERVPRO, and that's one of the things our team enjoys most about the work.

    As a Carpenter on our Reconstruction team, you will help rebuild homes and businesses following fire, water, storm, and other property damage events. One day you may be hanging drywall and installing trim in a residential home, while the next day you could be framing walls, installing flooring, painting, or completing repairs on a commercial property.

    You'll work closely with Project Managers, teammates, customers, and subcontractors to help bring damaged properties back to preloss condition. Attention to detail, quality workmanship, and professionalism are critical, as many of our customers are experiencing a stressful situation and are relying on us to restore their property.

    We're looking for someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys working with their hands, and wants to be part of a team that helps people get back to normal after a loss.

    Primary Responsibilities

    Perform demolition and reconstruction work related to restoration projectsComplete framing, drywall installation and finishing, trim work, flooring, cabinetry, painting, and other carpentry tasksRead and interpret work orders, scopes of work, and construction plansMaintain a clean and safe job siteCommunicate project progress and concerns to managementEnsure work is completed according to company standards and customer expectationsOperate hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment safelyLoad, unload, and transport materials to and from job sitesAssist with punch-list items and final project completionFollow all company safety policies and proceduresRepresent SERVPRO professionally when interacting with customers, vendors, and subcontractorsRequired Skills & Experience

    Minimum 3 years of carpentry or construction experience preferredExperience with framing, drywall, trim, painting, flooring, cabinetry, and general construction repairsAbility to work independently with minimal supervisionStrong attention to detail and workmanshipAbility to read a tape measure and perform basic construction mathStrong problem-solving and communication skillsValid driver's license and insurable driving record requiredAbility to successfully pass a background checkPhysical Requirements

    Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, and lift throughout the workdayAbility to lift and carry up to 75 pounds regularlyAbility to work on ladders, roofs, and elevated surfacesAbility to work in varying weather conditions and construction environmentsAbility to safely operate construction tools and equipmentWork Environment

    A Day in the Life of an Accounts Receivable | Billing | Collections Specialist at SERVPRO

    No two days are exactly the same at SERVPRO, but if you enjoy organization, problem-solving, and helping keep a business running smoothly, you'll fit right in.

    Your day may start by reviewing accounts receivable aging reports, processing payments, and following up on outstanding balances. Throughout the day, you'll communicate with customers regarding invoices, answer account-related questions, create and send invoices, research billing discrepancies, and work closely with management to ensure accounts remain current.

    While collections is an important part of this role, customer service is equally important. Many of our customers have recently experienced property damage to their homes or businesses, and professionalism, empathy, and effective communication are critical.

    This position plays a key role in the financial health of our company by helping ensure invoices are accurate, payments are collected, and customer accounts are properly maintained.

    Primary Responsibilities

    Create and distribute customer invoices accurately and timelyReview accounts receivable aging reports and follow up on outstanding balancesMake collection calls and send collection correspondenceProcess customer payments and maintain accurate payment recordsResearch and resolve billing discrepanciesMaintain detailed account notes and collection activity recordsAssist with customer account inquiries and payment arrangementsWork closely with management to monitor and reduce outstanding receivablesMaintain accurate customer and financial records in QuickBooksAssist with administrative office tasks and phone coverage as neededSupport month-end reporting and reconciliation activitiesMaintain confidentiality of customer and company financial informationRequired Skills & Experience


    Previous accounts receivable, billing, collections, bookkeeping, or related experience preferredExperience with QuickBooks preferredStrong customer service and communication skillsComfortable making collection calls and discussing past-due balancesStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsProficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook and ExcelAbility to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilitiesAbility to work independently and as part of a teamAbility to successfully pass a background checkPhysical Requirements
