    Production Scheduler Reports to: Plant Manager - Directly, Master Scheduler - Indirectly Location : Houston Service Wire Company, a premier supplier of industrial and utility wire and cable, is currently seeking a Production Scheduler in our Houston, TX location. Position Summary: The Production Scheduler is responsible for planning, processing, and tracking production orders according to the schedule and action reports. Expedites and prioritizes work orders according to need while maintaining inventory stock. This role involves working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Regularly communicates with various departments regarding order and production status and provides active and up to date lead times to sales. This role also involves leading the Manufacturing Order Processing. Tasks/Duties/Responsibilities: Organize work order to facilitate and expedite production Monitors manufacturing schedules Review work order specifications and prioritize customer requirements Design production schedule by location, sequence, products, and completion dates Maintain, monitor, and update production database Generate, review and analyze capacity reports Assist with material and enterprising resources planning Anticipate short term gaps in production and works to maintain inventory stock levels Coordinate and communicate with various departments regarding production and material planning issues to include: lead times, sold orders, stock replenishment, production gaps, pending orders, transfers and special orders, etc. Additional duties as assigned by supervisor Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: High School Diploma/GED (General Equivalency Diploma) required Associates or Bachelors degree strongly preferred 2+ years of related scheduling experience or equivalent training, previous processing experience with material resource planning a plus Previous experience utilizing a Material Requirement Planning (MRP system) Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Excellent verbal and written communication skills Analytical mindset and a focus on data-driven decisions Proficient with Microsoft office programs and related computer applications Ability to multi-task and respond quickly in a fluid and fast paced work environment Superb organizational skills and attention to detail Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Read Less

    ***RELOCATION ASSISTANCE AVAILABLE*** Location: Culloden, WV Reports to: Directly to EHS Manager, Indirectly to Plant Manager Position Summary: The Safety Specialist works to ensure that all employees complete their work safely. They ensure all safety standards are being follow based on company requirements. The Safety Specialist also monitors working conditions and resolve any safety issues that may arise. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who is eager to grow their career in EHS. The Safety Specialist establishes a process-based safety culture owned by every employee and built on the belief every incident is preventable. Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Create and implement safety plans while ensuring that they are being followed daily Conduct safety observation reports on a regular basis Attend safety walks and inspections on a regular basis to analyze safety risks Educate employees on safety standards and expectations as well as safe machinery operation Provide recommendations for improving safety in the workplace Ensures investigation of all HSE related incidents utilizing specific tools to drive to root cause and identify actions to prevent recurrence.
