Service Construction of Illinois, Inc. is currently looking for a Estimator. Ideal applicants must have a well-rounded background in residential construction/remodeling, as well as a basic background in commercial construction. Ideal applicants must also possess the following characteristics:
Minimum 10 years experience in residential construction and remodelingApplicants must have in-field experience with self-performed workHave an understanding of all tradesHave an understanding of building codes and ability for find answers to building codesAbility to secure professional ie: architect or engineers to resolve issuesCan walk through a jobsite and write up a detailed bid to submit to the potential clientEffective communicator with clients and employees alikePossess excellent time management skills and can manage several jobs at one timeProblem solves to fix issues that may come up in the fieldCreate and update construction schedulesWrite contractsAssist in creating G701/702 and sworn statementsReview G701/702 and sworn statementsReview and process work change orders from subcontractorsProduce change orders for work provided by SCI servicesResource products and applications to meet owner or job needsThinks outside the box to create the best solution for a problemCan draw out floor plans/prototypes to present to both the client and laborers in the fieldProficient in reading blueprintsProficient in micro-processing/e-mailing/Microsoft productsProficient in writing detailed scopes of workAble to present clients with options for a project to give the client the best possible solutionUnderstands and executes the process for job permitsMakes themselves available after hours for meetings, emails, and phone conversationsIf you feel this position is a right fit for you, please apply today!
