Key Responsibilities:
Perform preventative maintenance and repairs based on work orders, ensuring property standards are met.Conduct minor plumbing repairs such as unclogging toilets, maintaining fixtures, and sensor repairs.Execute routine painting, carpentry, drywall repair, and general maintenance to sustain facility aesthetics and functionality.Perform minor electrical work, including fixture replacements, switch and outlet repairs, and light bulb changes, within legal and safety guidelines.Complete service and asset inspections, documenting work via tablet or smartphone.Communicate effectively with clients and internal teams to ensure high customer satisfaction.Utilize technology for work order management, reporting, and inventory tracking.Maintain safety standards by attending training sessions and safety meetings, ensuring compliance with OSHA regulations.Provide estimates for larger projects when needed and support other maintenance-related duties as assigned.

Position: Utility Field Technician
Type: 6-month contract-to-hire
Pay: $21/hr
Schedule: 40 hrs/week
Worksite: On-site (St. Paul, MN) + regional travel cover all of MN, Wisconsin, Michigan, and the Dakotas.
Travel: Overnight travel up to 1 week at a time (not constant)
Work Environment: Outdoor field work in all weather conditions
Responsible for collecting electric distribution/telecom facilities field data used to update records and support design documentation. Work includes measurement, mapping, field photography, equipment/unit inventory, staking, and related field reconnaissance. You’ll often support senior design/staking personnel as an assistant in the field.

You will work independently and collaboratively, utilizing your technical skills to maintain building systems such as HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire safety, and dock equipment.
