Tax Manager Responsibilities and Duties:
Prepares and reviews tax packages from multiple sources, ensuring accurate gathering of information from various business units for federal and state income tax returns. Reviews partnership agreements to ensure appropriate tax provisions (target capital, waterfalls, catch‑ups, clawbacks) are properly included in agreements and followed in tax compliance reporting. Leads preparation and review of Partnership and S Corporation income tax compliance. Provides investment partners with accurate and timely K-1 packages, capital account statements, partner tax communications and timely responses to partner inquiries. Manages multistate compliance including state apportionment, state modifications and tax audits Involved in strategic discussions regarding corporate tax planning for the parent company to maintain favorable tax treatments to shareholders. Manages the preparation and tax calculations of the Company's fixed assets within the Depreciation software systems. Assists with quarterly taxable income projections on multiple levels/tiers within the corporate tax structure. Manages all tax reporting deadlines to avoid late filings. Prepares and manages the property tax return reporting requirements in multiple states for select partnerships. Provides support for tax incentive projects and associated reporting. Prepares and reviews income tax account reconciliations along with required payments. Coordinates with advisors quarterly and facilitate annual estimated tax payments and extensions. Reconciles tax adjustments with GAAP based financial statements. Conducts research on tax issues and handles tax notices promptly. Stays proactive in monitoring changes in tax law to facilitate effective planning, compliance, and reporting.Tax Manager Qualifications:
