    Ideal Candidate

    You're a safety professional with at least five years of hands-on EHS experience in construction or manufacturing, your OSHA 30 in hand, and a knack for spotting hazards before they become incidents. You're comfortable wearing many hats auditor, trainer, investigator, and first responder and you're looking to build lasting client relationships in the Southeast DC area.

    What You'll DoConduct comprehensive, site-wide safety and health risk assessments to identify hazards and prioritize mitigation effortsPromote and enforce construction site and plant safety compliance in accordance with federal, state, local, and industry standardsLead and participate in investigations of recordable injuries, high-risk incidents, illnesses, and near-miss events; perform root cause analyses and develop corrective/preventive action plansPrepare detailed incident investigation reports and track corrective actions to closureSupport and enhance client safety culture by implementing proactive safety programs and performance improvement initiativesDevelop, implement, and continuously improve auditing and inspection processes, including annual audits of safety, health, and industrial hygiene programsConduct annual safety risk assessments to quantify risk exposure and prioritize corrective actions, including oversight of contractor activitiesPerform Job Safety Analyses (JSAs) and ergonomic assessments to reduce exposure to workplace hazardsOversee and administer contractor safety programs at client sitesMaintain OSHA logs and ensure compliance with injury and illness recordkeeping requirementsExecute and coordinate required safety training programs in accordance with client expectations and OSHA requirementsProvide on-site medical response services, including first aid, emergency treatment, and initial illness care for injured or ill employeesCoordinate local case management activities, including transportation of injured employees to medical facilities and administration of workers' compensation processesMaintain and update facility safety policies and procedures as part of an Injury and Illness Prevention Plan (IIPP) meeting or exceeding OSHA standardsChampion SCT's 4E's philosophy (Engages, Enlists, Envisions, and Executes) throughout client organizations
