    Position Overview

    SCS Interiors is seeking an internal candidate for the Sales Supervisor role. This position provides leadership and oversight of the Account Managers and Billing Specialist while ensuring excellent customer service, accurate documentation and billing, and strong coordination between Sales, Production, and Quality.


    This role is ideal for a team-oriented leader who enjoys auditing customer purchase orders and production job travelers, conducting process improvement exercises, collaborating with other departments, and working in a manufacturing environment. As the leader of our inside sales team, we are seeking someone dedicated to customer satisfaction and accuracy of paperwork, as these are crucial components to our department.


    Key ResponsibilitiesSupervise and support Account Managers and Billing SpecialistEnsure accurate contract reviews, work orders, material ordering, and job travelers are completed by the teamReview orders, routing steps, and audit bill of materialsAbility to fill in for any team member as neededMonitor open and past-due orders and ensure timely customer communicationOversee invoicing, document retention, and unbilled shipmentsManage customer complaints and resolutionsServe as liaison between Sales, Production, and QualityUtilize ERP system daily to manage work orders, reports, and workflowAttend daily Planning Meetings and collaborate cross-functionallyHire, train, coach, and develop employeesEnsure the team has sufficient cross-training in place and up-to-dateConduct performance evaluations and address performance concernsEnsure training documentation and cross-training within the departmentParticipate in Safety, Quality, annual continuing education, and continuous improvement (Kaizen) initiatives

    First Year Expectations:

    Become the subject matter expert for all direct reportsExcel at ERP use and functionality Improve team order accuracy and reduce reworkStrengthen communication and coordination with Production teamsUse forecasting and demand planning to guide account managers on blanket POsIncrease depth of knowledge and cross-training for each team memberImprove customer return/rework resolutionsLearn relevant ISO 9001:2015 and FAA regulations Track and present weekly & monthly team metrics

    Qualifications

    Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience or completion of applicable on-the-job trainingManufacturing environment experience preferredPrior ERP or database system experience requiredISO, Kaizen or continuous improvement experience preferredStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsAbility to adapt to changing priorities and deadlinesStrong communication and leadership skillsAbility to read CAD drawings / blueprintsPhysical RequirementsAbility to sit, stand, and walk for extended periodsAbility to push/pull up to 25 lbsAbility to reach, crouch, and use hands/fingersAbility to see in color and communicate clearly in English Ability to use Microsoft Office / Google Suite proficiently Ability to use PCs, printers, and other technology standard with an office supervisory role

    Requirements:

    ResponsibilitiesInstall or re-upholster interior componentsPrepare materials and substrates for upholsteryCreate foam kits by reading drawings and assembling componentsCut, wrap, trim, and finish materialsPerform basic hand stitching when requiredAssemble parts and components according to specificationsInstall seat components such as handles and leversOperate basic production equipment and hand toolsComplete required documentation and quality checksMaintain a clean and organized work areaAssist with other production tasks as needed
