    We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Legal Assistant to join our dynamic legal team. In this role, you will provide essential support across a wide range of legal functions, ensuring smooth operations within the law office. Your proactive approach and organizational skills will help facilitate legal research, document management, case preparation, and client communication.

    Responsibilities

    Assist with legal research using platforms such as Westlaw, LexisNexis, and iManage to support case development and legal strategiesPrepare, review, and proofread legal documents including contracts, pleadings, briefs, and correspondence with precision and attention to detailManage legal case files and document management systems to ensure accurate filing, data entry, and retrieval of case informationConduct comprehensive document review and organize evidence for litigation or transactional mattersSupport attorneys with administrative tasks such as scheduling meetings, managing calendars, and coordinating client interviews or interviews with witnessesDraft clear and concise legal writing to support case summaries, memos, and reports

    Skills

    We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Paralegal specializing in Medical Malpractice and Litigation to join our dynamic legal team. In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting complex litigation cases, managing legal documentation, and conducting thorough research to ensure the success of our medical malpractice defense cases. Your energetic approach and strong organizational skills will help streamline case workflows, facilitate effective communication, and uphold the highest standards of legal support.

    Responsibilities

    Assist attorneys with case preparation by organizing medical records, legal documents, and evidence related to medical malpractice and personal injury claimsConduct comprehensive legal research using Westlaw, LexisNexis, and other legal research tools to support case strategies across various practice areas including estate planning, environmental law, workers' compensation law, and moreDraft, review, and proofread legal documents such as pleadings, discovery requests, contracts, and correspondence with precision and clarityManage case files using document management systems; ensure all records are accurate, up-to-date, and properly filedSupport project management efforts by tracking deadlines, court dates, and procedural requirements to ensure timely filings and compliancePerform document review and data entry tasks efficiently while maintaining high levels of accuracy in a fast-paced law office environment

    Qualifications

    Associate degree or higher in paralegal studies or paralegal certificate preferred.Paralegal experience with a strong background in litigation, especially within medical malpractice or personal injury lawProficiency in legal research platforms such as Westlaw and LexisNexis; familiarity with UCC law, tribal law & regulations, patent law, securities law, family law, landlord-tenant law, immigration law, estate planning, environmental law or other practice areas is a plusExperience with legal case management software; knowledge of document review processes is preferredExcellent writing skills with the ability to draft clear legal documents; proofreading and transcription skills are essentialStrong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously while meeting deadlinesEffective interviewing abilities combined with professional phone etiquette for client interactionsFamiliarity with legal administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, document management systems, clerical support, and administrative assistanceDemonstrated research capabilities using Westlaw or LexisNexis; ability to analyze complex legal information accuratelyAbility to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment; proactive problem-solving mindset

    Litigation Associate Attorney candidates must be licensed in Indiana. Strong research and writing skills, analytical abilities, excellent communication skills, the ability to work well with little direction, and strong work ethic are required.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Conduct comprehensive legal research using LexisNexis, Westlaw, and other legal research tools to support case development.Assist in preparing pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and legal briefs with clarity and precision.Analyze medical records, expert reports, and other evidence related to medical malpractice claims.Engage in negotiations with opposing counsel to resolve cases favorably or facilitate settlement discussions.Support attorneys during trial preparation by organizing case files, exhibits, and witness information.Maintain meticulous records of case progress, correspondence, and legal documentation within the law office management system.Attend Medical Licensing Board Hearings.Prepare Briefs and Motions.Prepare written Discoveries.
